Bucky held me close, his arms strong and steady as I cried. The world felt like it was crumbling around me, and I couldn't stop the flood of emotions tearing through me. His presence was comforting, a small anchor in the storm of my mind.

"I'm here," he murmured, his voice soft and soothing. "I'm here, Y/n."

I clung to him, my tears soaking his shirt. The pain was raw, searing through me like a knife. "I can't believe this," I sobbed.

Bucky didn't say anything, just held me tighter. His warmth helped me, and slowly, the storm began to calm. The room was quiet except for my ragged breathing and the faint hum of the compound's machinery.

After what felt like an eternity, I pulled back slightly, and he made me look up at him. His eyes were filled with empathy and something else, something that made my heart race. Without thinking, he leaned in and kissed me, and I blindly kissed back desperate for a distraction from the pain.

For a moment, I kissed him back, his lips soft and tender against mine. But then I pulled away, his eyes wide with shock. "Y/n," he began, his voice filled with regret, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

I pushed him away, anger flaring up inside me. "What the fuck Barnes. You didn't mean to what? Really Bucky? I thought we were friends. I'm breaking down and you take... ."

"No," he said quickly, reaching out to me. "Y/n, it's not like that. I would never-"

"Save it," I snapped, pulling away from him. "I trusted you, Bucky. And you-" My voice broke, and I couldn't finish the sentence.

"Please," he pleaded, his eyes desperate. "I didn't mean to do that. I care about you, Y/n, more than you know."

I shook my head, tears spilling down my cheeks again. "I can't do this, stay the fuck away from me." I whispered. "I can't handle any more shiy right now."

With that, I turned and fled from the room, ignoring Bucky's calls after me. I ran to my own quarters, locking the door behind me. The silence was deafening, the pain in my chest almost unbearable. I sank to the floor, my back against the door, and let the tears come again.

The compound was filled with tension as Tony stood in the middle of the common area, his face hard and unyielding. The rest of the Avengers surrounded him, their expressions a mix of anger, disbelief, and disgust.

"Tony, how could you?" Pepper's voice trembled with rage. "You had a daughter? and you sold her to Hydra? What kind of person does that?"

"The kind of person who only gives a shit about themselves. Don't you have enough money already!!" Nat said angrily, the only thing stopping her from attacking Tony is Bruce rubbing her hand and calming her down.

Tony's jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing. "I didn't know it was Hydra, alright? They presented themselves as a legitimate company. I was in serious debt, Pepper. The kind of debt that money couldn't fix. They offered me a way out, a fresh start. And with Y/n's mother gone, I thought it was the best option."

"Best option?" Natasha spat, her eyes cold. "You handed her over to strangers for money. You didn't even bother to check who they really were. That's not just reckless, it's sick."

"She said you choose... another kid over her. Not that you should be selling children but Tony you had a choice." Sam spoke.

Steve stepped forward, his voice low and dangerous. "Tony, we've seen you do some pretty selfish things, but this takes the cake. How do you expect us to even look at you after something like this?"

Tony crossed his arms defensively. "I made a mistake, okay? I thought I was doing the right thing at the time. They needed a face for their company, and it seemed like a good deal."
