~2 monts later~

Will read a book on the porch while Winston slept right beneath his legs. He enjoyed a beautiful melody playing from inside the house. The warm spring breeze stroked his hair, and he breathed in the smell of a perfect afternoon. This is life just as he always wanted it, peaceful, but not lonely.

He turned the page of the book and felt pain from a healed wound in his side. Every time it ached, it reminded him of all the things that happened a few months ago, and everything he had almost become.

The violin concerto suddenly stopped, taking his mind away from the memories. The one who had been playing inside came out, carrying a coffee cup in her hand.

"You want some?" - Eliana asked with a smile.

"No, thanks." - He smiled back, "I was really enjoying the soundtrack. It fit the book perfectly."

"I need a bit of caffeine in my system, then I'll get right back to it." - She sat next to him.

"Sure." - He put his arm around her body.

"Do you think I'm good enough to do music profesionally?" - She leaned into his chest while talking, "Or... Should I go back to the FBI... If they let me?"

"I'd say you're good enough. But you're good at both."

"I've still got some unfinished business at the FBI..."

"You mean like, catching the Ripper?" - Will raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah." - She nodded, "Has there been any news of him?"

"No, nothing yet. But I don't expect he'll stay quiet for long."

"When we get something... I think we should go after him." - She bit her lip nervously, "You know, Will... He could've killed you. But he made sure to hurt you just enough to give me a real scare."

"I don't know. I'm enjoying the quiet life right now." - He looked at her, stroking her cheek lightly, "...But, maybe you're right. Somewhere deep inside him, you saw a chance of redemption. And you have good judgement."

"It's hard to believe, but he showed some true human feelings in the end." - She sighed, "If I were to go back..."

"Don't think about what could've been." - Will interrupted her, "You did well. Both to me, and him."

"Yeah." - She smiled, "Thank you. I love you."

"Me too." - He smiled back, leaning into a kiss that seemed to wash away all the hatred still remaining in his heart.
