Walking into the conference room for morning briefing, i walk past Kelly and we hold eye contact before i turn and sit beside Mills. Kelly and i haven'y spoken since the hospital. He hasn't reached out to me and i haven't reached out to him.

"We were scheduled to open our bar after next shift and in light of what happened we were gonna push it but, me, Sloan, Dawson and Otis, we talked about it and instead, we're gonna make it a celebration of Hallie's life. All the proceeds for tonight will be donated in her name to children's memorial. Thanks" Hermann says before he takes a seat.

"Not and easy day. not for any of us. Lieutenant Casey is meeting with detective from CPD. Arson investigators are at the scene right now. All we can do for matt is be there the best we can" Boden says before he dismisses us.

I stay seated in my chair, staring at the wall remembering what it was like waking up at the hospital after we got back from being stranded from the plane crash

I open my eyes and look around not recognising the room i'm in. It looks like a hospital. Am i at a hospital? I sit up quickly causing me to get dizzy. I lift my hand up to place on my head and feel a wire coming out of my arm, i realise it's an IV. "Slow down" i hear beside me. I see Miranda Bailey standing beside me. I didn't notice her there

"Bailey?" I ask my voice low. You would think that i'd be relieved to see her there, yet the fear, the worry and the stress never goes away "Are you really there? Am i hallucinating?"

"No, you aren't. You're back now, you're all back" She says softly.

"Where's Mark? Derek? Where is everyone?"

"They're here, there all here" She says causing me to lay back down finally feeling like i can breathe.

I close my eyes in relief before i remember. I look at Bailey hoping it isn't true "Lexie?" I ask so quietly, i'm surprised she heard me. I wait for an answer hoping to everything good in the world she's okay, despite what i remember seeing happen to her. Bailey shakes her head. I start sobbing. "Please, please, please" I repeat as i cry while Bailey grabs onto me, holding me. I don't even know what i'm begging for. For Lexie to still be alive? For the plane crash to not have happened? But i cry and i beg until i passed out.

"Hey" I snap out fo the memory when i feel a hand on my shoulder. I look over to see Kelly with his hand on my shoulder. I watch as he lifts his thumb to wipe my face.

"I'm sorry, I didn't even realise i was crying" I then notice we're the only two people in the room

"Don't apologise. Is this reminding you of your brother?" He asks. I stand up and turn to face him.

"More so the entirety of the plane crash. My heart breaks for Casey"

"Come here." he says as he pulls me into his arms. i wrap my arms around him and let him hold me.

"Great, and as soon as Zoya starts, she can help go collect all this stuff" Otis says

"Who?" Hermann questions.

"Uh, my cousin. From Russia. Zoya? We talked about this."

"When?" Hermann says

"At the soft opening?"

"What, when i got like, six beers in me"

"Hey, you signed off dude." Otis says surely

"Do you know anything about this?" Hermann asks me and Gabby
