Chapter 35 : Tartarus

A/N : This is nearly the end of the book, their will be less timeskip in the second.

Third POV :

Percy was looking right into his cousin eyes. He had just save Annabeth from falling into Tartarus but he was losing his grip on the edge.

"Nico ! The other side ! I'll see you there you understand ?" He yelled at the emo boy.

"But-" Nico tried to protest.

"Lead them there ! Promise me !"

"I promise."

"The twin archers they know my girlfriend tell them what happened." The ghost king nodded.

Percy smiled and let go of the edge, falling into Tartarus.

Nico and Annabeth climb the corfe ladder to the deck where the others where waiting for them.

"Where is Percy ?" Hazel asked.

"He fell." Nico said a single tear rolling down his cheek.

Percy POV :

I was falling, it remind me of the feeling I got on my broom. Suddenly the air around me gained a red light and I found myself in a giant cave, a really giant cave. I saw water underneath me and willed it to stop my fall. I felt the urge to give up and immediatly thought of Artemis to fight it. I had fell into the Cocytus. Great.

Once out of the lake I looked around and saw no monster. I began to walk hoping I would find the Phlegethon before I die.

Artemis POV :

I was talking with Apollo when we saw a greek war ship. Two people went down, I recognized the son of Hades but not the other. The none identified kid went to Apollo and I saw the son of Hades looking at me.

"What is it ?" I asked. I was lo"oking at the ship hoping Percy would come.

"It's about Percy, milady." I froze and looked at him.

"Continue."

"He aske me to tell you what happened so you could tell his girlfriend." Apollo joined me with some weird machine in the hands. The other kid was going back on the ship.

"When we where in Rome, Annabeth went on this solo quest for Athena and when we went to get her out, she nearly fell into Tartarus but Percy saved her. But he couldn't come up, he made me promise to bring the other to the doors of death before he fell." I froze.

"Okay, now leave." Apollo said. When we were alone, I began crying.

"Shhh. It's okay sis'. He'll come back. He is smart and powerfull. He'll get out without problem." Apollo said trying to comfort me.

"Why does he have to be selfless ?"

"I don't know Arty." I slapped him.

"Don't call me Arty." I threatened. He smiled.

"He'll survive and we'll win this war." And then his smile fell a little. "You know that he will never accept imortality, his responsability will always stop him to being with you."

I sighed. "I know but that won't stop me from loving him."

Percy POV :

I was walking throught the army of monster, I just killed Misery with her own poison and i'm followed by Damasen and Bob. Oh, And small Bob too. We arrived at the door and Bob talked with Hyperon and Coeos. That's when Tartarus appeared and killed the two, I got out my sword and went to fight him. Good news I used spell on myself so I was a lot better at fighting and I used spell against him so he was at the level of tha big 3.

We fought and I cut off his head which I grab and put in my bag. I ran toward the door and cut the chain. Bob and Damasen were repelling the monsters.

Bob looked at me and pushed me in the elevator. I looked at him.

"Bob don't ! There's too many of them, you'll die !"

He shrugged. "Who knows what will be ? You must go now, we can only buy you time."

"Twelve minute, I can give you that." Damasen said. I hugged them both.

"Monsters are eternal. I will remember you as heroes and I'll tell my children. I'll keep the story alive and some day you will regenerate." Bob ruffled my hairs and smiled.

"That is good. Until then, my friend, tell the sun and the stars hello for me.And be strong. This may not be the last sacrifice you must make to stop Gaia." I nodded and I send him a last smile before the door closed.

Third POV :

The Argo II was approaching Epidaure and the door of death, his crew looked at the hill and was shocked at what they saw : golden dust, everywhere. They saw someone on the hill waving to them.

"You're late !" Percy shouted to them. They all smiled at him.
