"Karma"
Amira Fern Gallintean the male lead's mother and one of the main antagonist in the novel, in the story her role throughout only had a single main goal and it was to kill Zole, because his existence of being a half blood from a lowly maid who will one day inherit the throne.
She hated that idea so much to the point where she would commit heinous acts just to get rid of him , but after the emperor found out about her scheme's of murdering the next heir she was deposed from her position and was beheaded.
Though at first a lot of people admired and praised her for the woman that she was, but in the end she's just a rotten rat lower than the low, and for that I will never trust someone like her after all the things that she did.
Still I do understand her because it was the emperor's fault for having an affair with a maid, but I cannot empathise on someone who harms innocent children.
If she was so driven by revenge she should have just killed her own husband instead.
She acted nice and appealing as our conversation started, "Ive heard quite a lot about you Lewis, and it such a pleasure to meet my son"s closest servant."
"The honour is all mine your majesty."
"Now you must be curios as to why I called you here."
"Yes I am indeed, because it is not an everyday chance that I get to talk to her majesty the empress."
She smiled fakingly then added.
"Actually may I request something from you?"
"If its within my capabilities I would gladly do so."
She grinned, "Can you kill my son for me?"
I glared at her thinking, this woman, to say that infront of my face!
"You are merely being close to him to gain some benefits right? So why wait for him when I can grant them easily with one word cause If you do that simple task, I'll give you anything that you desire. I can even make the status of your family go higher, what do you say? Do we have a deal?"
Shameless b!tch, to think she'd be this stupid.
I calmed my anger down and uttered, "I am personally glad to see that his highness's enemies are purely just people who have an IQ of a fish."
Hearing those words she got irritated and threw the remaining tea onto me, luckily I was able to turn away and covered my face so it was only my clothes and little parts of my skin that got splashed in hot water.
I stood up looking directly at her, "You've revealed to me your disgusting personality and it just goes to show how much you look down on people, can you really call yourself an empress with that attitude?"
She was frustrated by my words so she approached and slapped my left cheek, "YOU LOW LIFE, HOW DARE A PERSON BELOW MY STATUS BAD MOUTH AN IMPERIAL FAMILY MEMBER!"
"You call me lowly when you cant even give birth to your own child because of your infertility, my status may be lower than you but you're more useless compared to my standing as a noble."
Her eyes were fuming with irritation, "Do you really think that you can get away from this, your crime alone for insulting me is punished by beheading."
I slapped her back to reality, "Your highness may I remind you that If you do so ever harm me or punish me just know that my death will result in tarnishing the great name of the imperial lineage and you know well enough 3 years ago my father fought alongside his majesty and protected him during the great war which resulted us into having an imperial seal, so stop giving the emperor more problems to deal with. Your existence alone is already a hindrance."
I left her there and walked away, I could hear her rampaging and throwing stuff inside her room.
Walking through the palace halls, I thought to myself.
Not once did I imagine that I would hit someone, but at end she has herself to blame for that. I just mirrored what she did to me, and after all the suffering and pain that she placed upon Zole in the novel, she deserves to atleast taste her own medicine.
