"Progress"
5 months after that commotion, everyday became peaceful on my side and the crown prince started to walk more freely than before because he's been taking the cure provided since the doctor told his majesty about it and he accepted and bought 20 boxes of potions ordered from the Gail empire.
I smiled in relief, "Zole your condition is really improving rapidly. Im so glad you can stroll freely outside now."
"The doctor gave me an advice that I still have a long way to go, but he said activities like moving around should be needed, Im just waiting for me to be 100 percent cured so I can do more than just this."
Its great to see that his health improved much faster compared to the timline in the novel, the fact that hes still 13 and yet he looks like a completely healthy person. Mybe I dont have to wait that long after all.
He ran towards me and gave me a hug, "Im not gonna lie but without you Lewis I wouldnt have cared this much about my health at all, so thank you for being the person that you are."
I was suprised by his actions but I hugged him back, "Your just over exaggerating things, I was merely there to give you my support."
He burried his face onto my shoulders, "Still that meant everything to me."
As we stopped hugging I remembered, "Oh yeah anyway, I heard that youll be taking your education as heir by tommorow morning?"
"Yes that is correct since my health has been better these past few weeks, the doctor approved that I can take my classes freely now with no complaint."
"Really? Im so glad to hear that."
"Though I need to start at the very beginning since I've been an illiterate child growing up. Its quite embarrassing to say that infront of you."
"Why would that be?"
"You probably would have met a better version of me because I would have healed a long time ago if I just took my health potions seriously without throwing them around."
I was touched for a bit cause through all of the things I had endured while working with him hes finally maturing. Im so proud to see his character grow for the better.
"Dont worry Zole, that just how fate works."
He stared at me, "Fate?..."
I glanced back, "Yes, what of it?"
Suddenly he looked away with a faint blush on his face.
He then fake his cough and straightened his posture, "I need to prepare for my classes tomorrow so Ill see you later."
I tilted my head as he walked away, "Huh, I wonder whats gotten into him all of a sudden?"
Hours later, evening finally came, heading over to Zole's room to deliver his meal I saw him doing something on his desk.
As I called his name to notify him about his dinner, "Zole your food is here." he shivered and looked at me.
"Oh, its just you Lewis."
I chuckled, "Sorry for startling you, anyways what were you doing?"
"I was learning on how to write letters."
"Well then I wont disturb you any longer. I'll just leave it here so you can eat if you feel hungry."
When I was about to leave, he immediately called me, "Wait, actually I want to ask you something."
"Sure what is it?"
He felt shy, "I know it may seem stupid and weird but Ive been meaning to ask if you can guide me on how to write your full name properly?"
"My full name?"
"Yes, I want that to be the first thing that I would remember and learn before gaining knowledge about other stuff."
I smiled and went closer to him, "Then let me show you."
I grabbed a pen and paper and taught him the spelling, "Here write it with this."
I placed the new paper down at his table and gave him the pen, I went behind holding his hand, guiding on how to write the letters in my name, "All done, see thats how you write it."
He read it quietly, "Lewis Hain Evergreen." And smiled.
