Answers. We want answers. All of us have woken up livid, it's been 2 days since it happened, yesterday we all just sat around doing nothing at all. Sadness has turned to anger, and it's all aimed at the Prime Minister.
Everyone is silent at breakfast, but we are all thinking the exact same thing, well all except James who hasn't properly left his room since it happened.
"I think we need to pay the Prime Minister a visit." I say bluntly.
"I agree." Mum replies. "I wasn't going to mention it, but now that you have, I need to chat with her."
We waste no time in getting ready to go, I imagine she wants to talk with us too.
As I'm getting ready in my room, I keep on gazing up at Luca's bed, but I cannot look for long... every time I think about him, I just see... chaos...
In the meantime, Mum is trying to converse with James. I can't tell if she wants him to come with us or if she just wants to check up on him.
I keep trying to shake the images from my head, I am trying to formulate what to say to her, I mean I don't want to yell at her but SHE said she was going to improve the security.
I think I will hold back more than mum though, I've never seen her look so angry, I can see a raging bonfire in her eyes, fighting and struggling to break free and rain hell down upon the first person in its reach.
One by one we slouch into the car, a seat remains empty and cold as the car slowly drives off. James is here, but he has his head down, and I don't feel like provoking him right now.
We practically screech into the Parliament Building car park on two wheels, screeching to a halt moments later.
We all march up to the front doors.
A guard catches our eye and attempts to say. "Sorry, you need a visitor's pass or an appointment to enter-" but is unable to finish before my mum says:
"This is the Jacobs family, and we NEED to see the Prime Minister NOW!" Mum demands.
"Well, uh... you still need to make-" the guard attempts to say before a voice comes over the radio.
"Let them in, they are allowed." Buzzes over a radio.
The guard sheepishly opens the door and grants us access.
Mum leads the way as she storms around the corridors, marching to the Prime Minister's office. I've never seen her this angry, ever. I'm actually quite scared.
The last time I think I saw her angry was the time we all tried to enter a pumpkin growing competition, and we had them vandalised by these bunch of teenagers, Mabel and I were super upset and Mum went all Mother Bear and screamed at them, frankly it was quite entertaining, but that's not the task at hand.
The doors to the Prime Minister's office swings open and we all march towards her desk.
The Prime Minister spins round in her chair and brings her attention to us.
"Now... I know you all are very shocked and upset-"" the Prime Minister begins but is cut off.
"You better have a really good fucking explanation for this." Mum barks sternly.
"Now we don't need that language, Miss Jacobs." The Prime Minister responds.
"Explain." Mum demands.
"As you know, security was flawed. Oscar and Luca brought it up several times, and we intended on doing so, however we had to lead our budget elsewhere due to the ongoing construction of the new shopping centre down the high street, our funds were required, and we had to pay to meet deadlines for companies and investors, we were intending on amending security, but we had no time, I wish it could have been done sooner, but sadly it wasn't."
