Sam pov

Just as I was about to take a sip, a familiar voice spoke from behind me. "Mind if I join you?"

I looked up to see the handsome man from this morning standing there, holding a cup of coffee. Up close, he looked even more handsome

"Sure," I said, trying to sound casual despite my racing heart.

He sat down, giving me a curious look. "I'm sorry about this morning. I didn't mean to be rude. I happened to be in a rush"

"It's okay," I replied, smiling. "I was the one not looking where I was going."

I thought of introducing as I still don't know his name "I'm Samantha, by the way."

Nick pov

She suddenly said "I'm Samantha, by the way".

That name hit me like a bolt of lightning. Samantha? Could it be? I looked at her more closely, my heart racing.

"Nice to meet you, Samantha. I'm Nick."

Her eyes widened slightly, but she quickly composed herself. "Nice to meet you too, Nick."We stood there for a moment, an unspoken connection hanging in the air. I wanted to ask if she was the same Sam, but I didn't want to come off as crazy that to on the first day .

Sam pov

As the conversation flowed, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something oddly familiar about him. It wasn't just his voice. It was his mannerisms, his laugh-everything about him felt like a déjà vu.

After a while, we finished our coffees and decided to walk back to our apartment building together. The day was growing colder, and the chill in the air made me shiver slightly.

"Here," nick said, offering me his jacket. "You are shaking"

In mind(so gentleman huh, not bad)

"Thanks," I said, slipping it on and feeling a bit warmer.

As we walked, we discovered that our apartments were not only in the same building but on the same floor, it's just beside each other
We reached our floor, and as I unlocked my door, I couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. Maybe coming to California wasn't just about my studies, maybe it was more.

"Well then see you around, neighbour. Nick said with a smile as he headed to his apartment.

I smiled back. "See you."

As I closed the door behind me, my heart raced. Could it be? Could he really be the same person I had once known online? The one who had disappeared from my life so abruptly?

The familiar voice, the connection I felt,it all seemed too coincidental at the same time what if he is not the same person, nick name is common and most people might have same name.
