The next morning, I woke up to see two pairs of eyes staring at me.
"What are you doing?!" I exclaimed, startled and still groggy. I jumped up, my heart racing. Minji and Sophia were staring at me with blank expressions.
"Spill it out," Minji demanded, her tone a little too intense for my sleepy brain. But I knew exactly what she meant.
"Well..." I started, a bit shyly. "You can call me Coups' girl," I said happily. We all screamed like teenage girls at a concert.
"What the hell! Tell us everything!" They sat on the mattress, looking like eager puppies. I couldn't help but laugh.
In just ten minutes, I filled them in on everything, skipping the deep details but covering all the essentials.
"I noticed Joshua and Jun made us leave pretty quickly last night. Now I get why!" Sophia explained.
"Yeah, we wanted to wait up for you, but you came back so late we fell asleep," Minji pouted. "But the good news is, you two are finally together! Welcome to the Seventeen family! And the SVT sisters!"
Feeling overjoyed, we all hugged each other. It felt amazing to be part of something special.
After our showers and getting ready, we headed to the kitchen where some of the boys were already up.
"Good morning!" Minji greeted. Woozi, Jun, Dino, Seungkwan, and Mingyu turned around to greet us too. As we sat at the table, I noticed Seungcheol wasn't there yet.
"No darling, he's still sleeping," Seungkwan said, noticing my curiosity. I blushed.
"It's pretty late though, why don't you go wake him up? I'm sure he'll like that," Dino suggested with a smirk, making everyone laugh.
"Alright, I guess I should wake the others too," I said, trying to sound casual. They clearly didn't believe me, as they exchanged knowing looks.
"Sure, why not," Seungkwan added with a mischievous smile.
I headed back to the dorms, excited to see Coups. As I opened the door to his room, I saw him sleeping peacefully. His roommates, Woozi and Mingyu, were already up, so he was alone.
He looked so serene, lying on his back with his handsome face in full view. His long eyelashes and plump lips made him look almost unreal. I couldn't help but stare, enchanted by his beauty. I kneeled down beside him, taking in every detail.
"You smell nice," his deep, sleepy voice broke my trance. Was he awake the whole time? Embarrassed, I started to move away, but he grabbed my arm and pulled me onto him, making me fall on top of him. He hugged me tight, my head resting on his chest. I was paralyzed.
"That's much better. Let's stay like this for ten more minutes," he murmured. His warmth and the sound of his heartbeat made me melt. I smiled, feeling completely content, and dozed off in his arms.
When I woke up again, I felt confused for a moment. Then I remembered where I was and with whom. I smiled, lifting my head to see a still-sleepy Coups. How could he sleep so much? I chuckled.
"Coups, wake up," I said softly. He didn't move. "Coups," I repeated, touching his chest. It was toned and firm. Still no response, so I gently brushed his hair from his forehead. Despite all the bleaching and coloring, it was surprisingly soft.
"Good morning," his deep voice surprised me again. I looked down to see him slightly more awake.
"Good morning," I replied softly.
"This is the best morning of my life," he said, and I couldn't agree more.
He tightened his arms around me and rolled us over, so I was beneath him. I felt a bit shy at the new position, laughing nervously. He rested his face in the crook of my neck, his breath warm against my skin.
It was the first time we'd been so close. I'd had a boyfriend before, but this felt different—exciting yet comfortable. My hands found their way to the back of his head, gently playing with his hair.
"That feels so good," he murmured, making me feel proud.
He kissed my neck, sending a wave of warmth through me. Then he raised his head, looking at me with his sleepy eyes. He couldn't look cuter.
"How can you look so beautiful?" he asked. I laughed.
"I don't know, good genes, I guess," I joked.
"You're so beautiful. I'm a lucky man," he said, and before I could even blush, his lips were on mine. The kiss started soft but soon grew passionate. The position we were in made it easy for things to heat up.
"Coups, stop," I said, breaking the kiss. I felt overwhelmed. He saw the discomfort on my face and immediately got up.
"I'm sorry. Did I do something wrong?" he asked, sounding scared.
"Oh no, no," I reassured him. "It's just that I don't want to rush things," I said, blushing and looking down. He seemed surprised.
"Oh god... I understand. That wasn't my intention at all," he said, looking a bit shy. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like that."
"It's okay, I believe you. Don't worry," I said, giving him a comforting smile. "I just think communication is key in a relationship."
"Definitely! I'm glad you told me. I appreciate it," he said, caressing my cheek. We both smiled and kissed again.
"Can you wait for me? I'll take a quick shower and then we can join the others," he said. I nodded.
I waited for him in the little living room, and after fifteen minutes, he emerged, ready for the day. He wore a white tee, joggers, and a beanie. I never understood how guys could wear beanies in summer, but he looked so good I didn't care.
On our way to the kitchen, I had to ask, "Do the boys know?"
"About us?" he asked, looking at me. "Yeah, I bet they do. Last night, Mingyu made me explain everything to him, so I'm sure everyone knows." He saw my confused face. "Is that okay with you?"
"Yeah, it's fine. The girls know too. They interrogated me this morning. I just wanted to know," I said, not worried about it.
"Good then," he smiled.
When we arrived, everyone looked at us like we were a spectacle.
"They're not even hiding it! Look at their hands!" Dokyeom shouted happily.
"Why would they? We knew this day would come. They look great together," Hoshi said, and the others agreed.
After feeling like a zoo exhibit, Coups and I prepared some food alone, as the rest had already eaten.
Seungcheol was such an amazing person—vivid and cheerful, always touching in a cute way. If we weren't hugging, we were holding hands or giving each other little kisses. I felt so open with him.
We talked about his family and how much he missed his grandparents. He also talked about his brother and showed me pictures of his dog, Kkuma.
"She's so cute!" I said, looking at a picture on his phone. Kkuma looked like she was always smiling. Seungcheol had a proud daddy smile every time he talked about her.
The rest of the day passed calmly. That night, the boys threw me a little party to welcome me to the family. They were such precious creatures. My heart fluttered with gratitude, and I was happy to fit in so well with them. Instead of idols and famous people, I saw them as a group of good and amazing friends. It was unique.
The following days went by quickly. I spent time with the girls and my boyfriend (isn't it great to finally call him that?). We had a little volleyball tournament with girls vs boys, and we won. Thankfully, Seungkwan was on our team, but to be honest, we weren't that bad either. The losers had to prepare us a meal, and our boyfriends and Mingyu were the ones doing it. After a long wait, we enjoyed the delicious food they prepared. Mingyu explained that the boys were terrible in the kitchen and that he had to explain everything to them. It was such a funny story.
The first week had already passed, and we couldn't believe it. How could time go by so quickly?
On Saturday, the weather reached its maximum temperature, so the girls and I decided to prepare some cocktails and go to the swimming pool.
