After getting dressed, we left the hanok. The rest of the group was already awake and eating in the dining hall. Everyone smiled at us and gave Seungcheol knowing looks, making me feel both embarrassed and overjoyed.
The remaining days flew by, and before we knew it, our time in the soop was over. The boys had to return to their schedules, and I had to get back to mine. Our last night was filled with mixed emotions—bittersweet because it was ending, yet happy for the amazing two weeks we had spent together. Seungcheol and I were probably the happiest, for obvious reasons.
The next day, we woke up earlier than usual as the boys had an afternoon schedule. It was incredible how quickly they had to resume work. The girls and I tidied up, finished packing, and made sandwiches for the trip.
When it was time to leave, we gathered outside and got into the cars. It was sad to leave this place behind, but the memories would stay with me forever.
(Time skip - some months later)
After the soop, we all returned to our normal lives. Initially, I was worried that my relationship with Seungcheol would change. We had grown so close in the soop, living in our little bubble, and I didn't want that to change in real life. Thankfully, my worries were unfounded. Seungcheol acted just as he always had. We saw each other less because of our busy schedules, but we always made time for one another. He often visited my house, where Hana finally met him. They got along well. I hadn't visited his place yet because he mentioned renovations and that his brother was there, suggesting it might be too soon for family introductions, which I understood.
One Tuesday morning, I decided to take my laptop and find a nice café to work in. One perk of my job was having some days of online work, which I found convenient. As I sat there, sipping my peach iced tea and concentrating on my documents, my phone rang. I smiled at the caller ID.
"Hi, beautiful." My smile grew wider.
"Hi, handsome," I replied. "I didn't expect your call."
"We just had a break from filming, so I decided to call you. How are you doing?" he asked.
"I'm good. Dealing with some stressful paperwork, but the café's view helps."
"That's good to hear. You can do it, babe," he said, his caring tone lifting my spirits. His leadership qualities often surfaced in our relationship, offering me immense support. "Listen, I have the evening off and want to take you somewhere." My curiosity piqued.
"Sure! I'm free too. Where are we going?" I asked excitedly.
"It's a surprise, but I think you'll like it," he replied mysteriously. "I'll pick you up at 6:30, okay?"
"Okay! I'll be ready. Should I dress formally?"
"Not at all, just as always," he reassured me. I sighed happily, preferring simple plans over fancy ones. "Lia, I've got to go," he said as I heard voices calling him in the background.
"Alright. Have fun!" I said.
"See you then," he replied and hung up.
I spent the rest of the day trying to guess where he would take me but had no idea. In the afternoon, I got dressed and waited for his text. At 6:30, I received a message from Seungcheol saying he was downstairs. I grabbed my purse and left home.
When I opened the passenger door of his car, I noticed something different. "What did you do to your hair?" I exclaimed, feeling hyped. He had dyed his hair brown again, and he looked fantastic.
"Do you like it?" he asked, eager for my response.
"I love it!" I said truthfully. In my opinion, brown or dark hair suited him best. His smile grew wider, and he seemed more relaxed.
