One day, to clear my mind of all those insecurities, I proposed to the girls to have a 'relaxing time,' which meant painting our nails and doing some skin care.
We gathered in the common room, as no one was there, and started our girl time: masks on, music on, and ready to get some color on our nails. If the boys had seen us, they would have been pretty scared.
I was having an amazing time with them. I discovered that they both had become best friends since joining the Seventeen squad. They shared the same hobbies and likes as me, which made me more comfortable.
After lots of talking and laughing, Minji found some bottles of red wine hidden in the little fridge in the common room.
"I have an idea..." she said, holding up the bottle with a smirk. This girl was such a tease. She reminded me of Hana.
I went to pick up some wine glasses from the kitchen and returned. We decided to open the bottle and have a drink. What we didn't expect was that we would finish two bottles and get pretty drunk. I had such low alcohol tolerance. After some time, we didn't notice that the boys had entered and were watching the show we had created: Minji had turned on the karaoke and was singing her lungs out, while Sophia and I, glasses raised, were singing along with her.
"You're the best! I'm your fan!" I screamed at Minji, who was pretending to be a famous singer.
Minji finished with the most awkward and uncomfortable pose, and we all laughed. When we heard that our laughs were not the only ones, we turned around surprised to see the boys amused by our show.
"How much have you seen?" Sophia was the first to speak, now a little more sober than the rest. Her embarrassed face matched ours.
"This is so embarrassing," I said, laughing at Minji. I was still drunk; otherwise, I would have already left the place out of embarrassment.
"Minji, you are definitely ready to be the next K-pop idol," Jeonghan said, and the rest laughed.
"I should join Dino then," she said with some pride. We all laughed.
"We would make a great duo, for sure," Dino said, also showing off pride. Minji laughed and hugged him.
After the laughs, the boys left, still amused by what they had seen, but Jun, Joshua, and S.Coups decided to stay. I felt kind of shy, as only the boyfriends stayed, and S.Coups also stayed. Was it a sign? I couldn't think properly, as my body was still intoxicated by alcohol.
"How much have you drunk?" Jun asked, a little worried, while helping Minji to stand up.
"My girl is wasted," Coups said, laughing.
I was drunk but I could still process what he said. His girl? Me? My cheeks flushed, and my heart started to beat like it was going to burst out of my chest.
"Yeah, mine too. I think we should take them to bed," Joshua proposed.
"I'm okay! I didn't drink as much as them, though," Sophia replied.
That was true. Minji and I were the ones who drank the most. Sophia was more sober. Lucky her.
Still with my heart doing cartwheels, I stood up from the sofa with Coups' help. His hands were warm and big. As I looked into his kind eyes, he gave me a warm smile. His arm wrapped around my shoulders to help me stabilize. It was probably the first time we got so close and touched each other. I couldn't react; I was so flustered.
As the two other couples left the place, we were the last ones in the common room. He took the initiative to start leaving.
"Wait!" I said, grabbing his hand. He turned around, confused.
