couldn't sleep

Shadow's POV
I don't know what's going on with me, at some days l'd cry at night and getting woken up by the same dream every goddamn time, l don't know when it started but it kept happening. All l wanted now is a good sleep and get away from that dream or should l say nightmare.

Author's POV
Shadow groans in his sleep as he stirred around, his brows narrowed, his hands forming a fist then suddenly his eyes jolted open and sat up on his bed, panting and sweating

"h-ha..not again..damn it.." he mumbled as he tries to calm himself, he looks out through the window beside his bed, seeing the moon on the dark sky making his red eyes sparkle by the moonlight, he sighs and lay back down, trying to go back to sleep

-morning came-

"Looks like someone didn't got their beauty sleep, you look terrible" Rouge  spoke, placing a hand on her hip seeing shadow looking messy and his eyes still being groggily

"don't remind me" shadow replied with a groan and sat down with his arm behind the couch and head leaning back

"still having that dream?" Rouge asked with a soft tone in her voice, knowing shadow has been having it for the past week. Shadow remain quiet as rouge mentioned about the dream he's been having lately, he doesn't like talking about it.

One night, shadow strolled on the streets having a troubled expression on his face while looking down on the ground, he couldn't fall asleep, he was afraid if he falls asleep, that dream would appear once again just like any other days

He sighs scratching the back of his neck then slowly saw a familiar shoes Infront of him, his eye twitches knowing who it was at first glance on the shoes. He slowly look up and saw the blue hedgehog right infront of him

"Speaking of the devil, hey there faker" sonic spoke with a slight smirk plastered on his lips while crossings his arms on his chest

"Just when l thought my night couldn't get any worse" shadow replied not really expecting to see his rival this late at night, he straighten his posture facing the blue hedgehog Infront of him properly

"Why are you out so late?" Sonic asked leaning forward at him as he place his hands on his hip

"It's none of your business, l don't have time to talk with you right now" shadow answered, showing a hint of annoyance in his tone to him while he leans back

"Geez, so grumpy even at night" the blue hedgehog responded teasingly at him then chuckled handing him a plastic bag that has a few snacks inside "wanna join me for a bit?"
