Shadow's POV
It's too quiet, however l'm enjoying this peaceful silence, he's always talking nonsense but it's rare to see him not opening his mouth for once, is it because he's eating?

I took a bite from my pizza trying to read his head on what's he's thinking, l swallowed the piece that l chewed then look over at him

"Hey sonic, Can l ask you something?" I asked with a blank expression

"Hm? Sure, what is it?" He answered turning his full attention to me after l asked him a question

"Don't misunderstand my question for something unrelated, anyways, have you ever think about confessing your feelings to someone you love?"

Sonic's POV
My eyes widen in shock and confusion, my ears perk up and it started to feel warm in quick seconds as l heard the question he just asked me.

l didn't think it would be that, it's not like him to ask anything related about love or confessions, l cleared my throat as l tried to compose myself

'does he know?..why is he asking that?' l thought to myself

"Where did that e-even come from?" I asked him back as l stuttered my words from nervousness, not understanding why is he suddenly asking me about things like that, does he know that l like him?

"Why the stutter? I'm curious since you and Amy seems quite close with each other, do you happen to have feelings towards her?" He said it so casually too as he continues to bite on his pizza

Amy? She's the one who likes me, l don't have any feelings for her, l treated her as a friend and she sometimes misunderstood my kindness to a gesture of affection

"I don't have any feelings for Amy, l see her as a good friend of mine, nothing more" l explained and answered his question as l avoided his eyes

Shadow's POV
The second he said he doesn't have any feelings towards Amy, l felt somehow relieved and happy? But why? Am l really starting to like my rival?

His reaction was giving hints to my suspicions, his ears blushing and perking up, his body flinched then his eyes avoided mine. He is being too obvious now, should l test him?

"I see...then who do you like?" I asked again, l place the slice of pizza that l haven't finished and turn to face him waiting for his answer

"Well..uhhh do you really wanna know? What about you? Do you like anyone?" He really just avoided my question and turn it around towards me huh?

I sigh, placing my elbow on my knee and leaning my head on my palm with a smirk on my face. I want to try a test on him, my curiosity is gonna kill me tonight if l don't and l wanna know...if l also too like him..
