Wonwoo

"It's almost time to fly home."

My heart sank at those words. "I know."

I'd been having so much fun here. It was like being in another world. A world where someone like Mingyu really wanted someone like me. I was terrified it wouldn't last once we got back to the real world. He was going to discover what a geek I was and that would be it. He'd dump me for Wooshik or someone like him, someone more fun.

It could happen.

"Maybe we could stay here."

Mingyu's eyebrows rose as he leaned forward in his seat and rested his elbows on the veranda table. "Is that what you want?"

"No, I guess not." I did miss my work and the people I worked with. "I just... I don't know what's going to happen when we go back to the real world."

"Well, maybe we should make a plan."

"A plan?"

"Sure, plans are good. They give you a path to follow even if you step to one side or the other on occasion. They give you goals to shoot for."

"I like plans." I was actually fully in favor of them.

Part of that whole geek thing.

"So, how about this for a plan," Mingyu started. "We fly home the day after tomorrow, back to New York. We stay there long enough to find a place big enough for the both of us to live in and then we fly out to California so I can arrange to close down my practice and arrange movers for my stuff?"

That actually sounded like a fantastic plan.

"Did you talk to Jake about working at his company?"

"I did," Mingyu grinned. "I'm getting a corner office right down the hallway from Jungkook. Jake has given me a month to get my practice closed down and get everything moved to New York, so there should be plenty of time before I have to report to work."

"Yeah?" I started to smile. "Are you excited?"

"I am, actually. I can't wait to sign that NDA so I can finally find out what my husband does for a living."

I laughed at the disgruntled look on Mingyu's face. "I'll tell you just as soon as Jake gives me the go-ahead. I promise."

I hated keeping it from him, but I understood the importance of keeping my mouth closed when it came to my job. I worked on a lot of sensitive projects. Sharing that information without permission could get me put behind bars.

"Are there any souvenirs you want to pick up before we head home?"

I shook my head. "I already picked up the things I wanted to pick up." There weren't that many people in my life to buy gifts for. "We are going to need another suitcase though. Not everything will fit in mine."

"Easily taken care of."

I hoped so. Between the clothes Mingyu had bought me and the things we had picked up here and there, we would definitely need an extra suitcase.

"So, since it's our last night in Italy, I thought we could dress up and I could take you to Milan for dinner."

"Milan?"

We really hadn't left the Lake Como area since we arrived. There was so much to explore here. Plus, we had spent a good portion of our time just hanging around the villa, lounging around with each other.

"Yeah, I thought we'd make a night of it. Jake recommended a really nice restaurant there. After we eat, we can go to a club or a casino or even go to a concert. What do you say?"
