We see a view of Sonic, Stormi, Tails, and Knuckles walking down a dirt path in a forest.

"The town of Green Hills; a nice, quiet place. Too quiet." Sonic starts to narrate.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Stormi asked. "It's about time we take a break."

"This isn't the way to the library." Tails says, flying beside them.

"I swore an oath to return these sacred tomes or Maddie would be dishonored with late fees." Knuckles says holding up three books.

"This is just a detour." Sonic says.

"Or you don't know where it is.." Stormi snickers. Sonic looks at her,annoyed before turning tthe the viewers and starting back his narration.

"Stormi,Knuckles and Tails didn't know something mysterious was going on at the junkyard."

"Who are you talking to?" Tails asked.

"Yeah.. it's weird.." Stormi adds.

The four arrived at the Junkyard, and Sonic turns to them.

"I'm narrating! Cool heroes do it in detective movies all the time. And it's not weird, Storms."

"Whatever you say, bro." She shrugs.

"I wish to narrate, too." Knuckles says, before starting his narration.

"Knuckles was very handsome and strong, much stronger than Sonic."

"Tails was just excited to be included." Tails says.

"Tails' narration was weak and sad."

"Stormi just wants to get back home so she can play Super Smash Ultimate. She just wants to kick Sonic's butt." Stormi adds.

Upon entering the junkyard, Sonic shushes his friends.

"Shh! We're on an investigation. Wade told me there had been some weird noises up here at night."

Suddenly a noise can be heard from inside the junkyard.

Knuckles slowly moves ahead while Tails hides behind Sonic. Stormi placed her hands in her hoodie pockets before following behind Knuckles. Sonic just walks away, leaving a nervous Tails to move on his own as he anxiously looks around.

The four takes cover behind some junk when they see the cause of the noises. A Badnik covered in junk and searching for more to add to itself.

"Upgrade. Upgrade. Need to upgrade. Unit must upgrade and conquer the world."

Sonic gasps. "It's one of Robotnik's drones!"

"I thought we destroyed them all!" Stormi says, shocked.

"It's been upgrading itself!" Tails said with worry.

"Ha! No match for me!"

Knuckles gets up from cover with a triumphant expression, and Unit turns in his direction.

"Biologicals detected."

Unit fires colored lasers from a traffic light attachment and blasts Knuckles away, knocking him into some barrels. After shaking it off, the echidna sees that the lasers have burnt holes through the library books.

"The sacred tomes!" He said, in shocked.

"She's not gonna be happy when she sees the fees.." Stormi groaned.

"Guys, we need a plan. Tails, you take up a flanking position. Knuckles-" Sonic was cuts off by Knuckles.

"Knuckles pretended he was listening, but he readied his attack." He narrated to the viewers, ready to attack.
