Horror could tell Nightmare was angry from how his aura hung over the castle dangerously. He wasn't sure what Killer told him, though now wasn't the time to ask unless he wanted to be on the recieving side of the pissed guardian.

Besides, Dust needed him more at the moment.

He looked down at the hooded skeleton, who lay half awake on his lap. Dust's breaths shuddered occasionally, though other than that he was better than before. Horror knew that Dust wouldn't want him to make a huge deal of his LV (and anxiety) attack, considering how common they were, but that didn't mean he couldn't make sure the smaller was alright.

"ya sure ya feelin' better now?" Horror asked softly, or as soft as he could manage with his usual raspy voice. Dust looked up, his barley visible eye lights adjusting to the dark lighting and focusing on Horror.

They were in Dust's room, illuminated by candles. The moon endlessly shone in the AU Nightmare's castle was in, and the castle itself wasn't modern enough to have lights built in so they had to make-do with candles and the moonlight.

Horror didn't mind, he found the night's light to be soothing.

"yeah, no worries. it could be worse." Dust replied, slurred words revealing his tiredness. Horror squeezed his hand in an act of solace. It was no secret him and Dust had something beyond friendship going on, however, neither confessed anything about it. Though Horror didn't want to ruin what they had already, so he continued to keep quiet. Besides, words didn't need to be spoken for the two to feel love for eachother. (Killer would definitely say how cheesy that sounded.)

Dust's sockets lidded as he rolled off Horror's lap and onto his bed.

"ima take a nap... you can stay if you want."

It was to be expected as after LV attack, a monster's magic energy was always low. But Horror knew there was the underlying message that Dust wanted him to stay incase his nightmares or memories got too bad. Horror wouldn't leave Dust's side anyway, so he nodded.

Although Dust's face was shadowed over by his hood, Horror got the sense he was smiling. It warmed his heart, and the love for the other settled further in his soul.

Dust hummed in satisfaction, shifting around on the bed to get comfy. His exhaustion finally caught up to him and the other passed out onto the bed in a strange position Horror wondered how he found comfy.

Settling down, still sitting beside Dust, Horror kept his phalange in Dust's, loosely holding it in a way he knew brought the other reassurance.

Love wasn't something Horror had once thought he deserved, the kindness he'd once held having been wiped away due to his famishment and insanity. However, after meeting Dust, that quiet unsocial skeleton who got far too irritated at Killer's antics, admiring for the Dusttale skeleton began.

Cross confronted him about his yearning and unusually tender looks that he gave Dust all too often and that was when he'd started to realise the extent of his 'fondness' towards Dust. When Horror spent time with him, the two would laugh and draw close, the adoration in him made him realise that he'd do anything to protect the other.

And Horror would never tell Nightmare, but he had his suspicions that Error's actions to protect someone he'd originally had nothing to do this were love driven. Especially when Dust had explained how Error had instantly rushed towards Dream to make sure he was safe. Even if the Destroyer didn't realise his emotions yet.
