Error was having serious doubts. Having agreed to a location, he was waiting in a Flowerfell AU. This particular one was one of Flowerfells 'happier versions', where when Frisk died for good from the golden flowers, they sacrificed their SOUL to break the barrier and the Underground had managed to reach the surface.

It wasn't an AU near the top of his 'to destroy next' list as other than the major changes from the Original, there weren't as many glitches or mistakes as some other AU's had. But Dream had suggested to meet here as it was peaceful and empty in the Underground part and somewhere Nightmare was unlikely to be keeping tabs on.

Though, the AU wasn't why he was having doubts about coming, it wasn't even that he'd be meeting with Dream again. It was the fact he would be willingly touching Dream as the guardian tried to help his haphephobia. Even the thought of that caused his soul to clench and the glitches on his body to spark about more relentlessly. Having survived long enough dealing with his haphephobia, Error felt little need to help fix it. Besides, if just thinking about it sent a cold chill up his spine, actually doing it would be near impossible.

However, he'd promised Dream that he would try this, and like most Sanses (even though he was now an outcode) Error wasn't one to break promises.

So here he was, waiting in a drier part of Waterfall, lost in thought as he stared at the echo flowers. They glowed an alluring blue, the rocks in the walls around them flickering like stars in shades of yellow, blue and pink. Looking around at the unique place, Error spotted a sign.

*WISHING ROOM

Squinting until he could read it, he realised that must be why there were so many echo flowers and glowing rocks - they were often the alternative to stars in the Underground and even harsher Fell AU's wished upon them. Pathetic really, he found, it wasn't like stars could actually grant wishes. Just feeble attempts with the hope the miracle would occur. (Wishes never came true for him).

Error continued to sit and wait, fiddling with his strings impatiently. Actual stars were much more relaxing anyway. But, Waterfall was one of the places that held the most beautiful views down below. He had to admit that the sounds of the water from the river and sparkles from the walls with reflections of a cyan hue was quite nice to wait in. Perhaps he'd go to Waterfalls more often.

Error sighed with mixture of boredom and contentedness and checked his phone again opening the message Dream had sent earlier.

I'll meet you in Waterfall in Flowerfell #04 at 4pm, cya! ^^

It was still a few minutes before Dream would arrive and Error felt his patience grow thin. Dragging his eyelights up and away from his strings, he looked at the bunches of echo flowers which all whispered quietly. With curiosity building, Error stood up slowly and walked over to where a few lay. Slowly reaching his hand out, he touched an echo flower gently, ready to listen to it's last message.

*Sis! Hurry up! Dada said we're going to be free!

The child's voice echoed through Error's skull as it died out, and he could almost imagine a younger monster in stripes, dragging their sister, overjoyed with the fact the barrier had broken.

He knew how great that feeling of finally being free was...

The thought left Error with a whirling sense of nostalgia. Finding himself to somewhat enjoy that feeling, he reached out to touch another flower, careful not to speak as to disturb the memories of the voices they held.

*It seems my wish did come true... If only he was here to see the moon with me...

The ebony skeleton gave a hum at that. If he were to guess, he'd say that monster had lost someone close to them. It was to be expected in Fell AU's, where LV was considered more important than love (he felt the same way). Dream would probably be empathetic with that thought, Error on the other hand felt no sympathy.. just another anomaly in the Multiverse gone.
