Lily POV

"Are you sure you're fine?" I asked Chase, concern evident in my voice as I glanced at him swaying slightly.

"I'll be okay," he slurred, trying to reassure me. Lily exchanged a worried look with Kaska, silently hoping that they would both make it home in one piece.

"Next time don't drink too much! You're concerning me." I scolded him , knowing that it was important to look out for his well-being. Lily made a mental note to keep a closer eye on Chase during their nights out in the future.

"Mhm." Chase nodded, his words slightly slurred as he tried to stand up straight. Lily sighed, knowing that taking care of Chase was going to be a challenge that she was willing to face.

Back at the hotel, who cares, they're going out tomorrow

Chase POV

"I'm fine, Lily babe, I'm going to be fine, my love..." I accidentally slipped some words out that I didn't mean to say, but Lily just smiled and helped me back to our room. As I lay down, I realized how lucky I was to have someone like her by my side. Lily's love and care were the only things keeping me going in that moment of weakness.

"Lily babe? That's a new thing for me to hear, but I know you just slipped that out." Lily chuckled and kissed my forehead, whispering,

"I'll always be here for you, no matter what." With her comforting words, I felt a sense of peace wash over me, knowing that I was not alone in facing whatever challenges lay ahead.

"Alright my love, sleep well." Lily whispered softly before turning off the light and snuggling closer to me, her presence a source of warmth and comfort that I knew I could always rely on.

Lily POV

"I can't sleep, I'm too worried about Chase." I told myself , feeling a knot of anxiety tightening in my chest. But as I watched him finally drift off to sleep, a wave of reassurance washed over me, knowing that we would face whatever came our way together.

"Lily, sleep." Chase murmured softly, his voice filled with love and comfort.

"I'm trying," in an attempt to calm my racing thoughts, I closed my eyes but to no surprise, it didn't work.

"I know what can make you sleep better," Chase said, pulling me closer to him. As he wrapped his arms around me, I felt a sense of peace and security wash over me, finally allowing myself to relax and drift off into a peaceful slumber.

The warmth of his embrace and the steady rhythm of his breathing lulled me into a deep, restful sleep, grateful for his presence by my side.

2:30 AM, Nusian time

Lily POV

I woke up to the sound of a gentle rain outside, feeling refreshed and grateful for the peaceful night's rest. As I glanced over at Chase, still sleeping soundly beside me, I couldn't help but pet his hair softly, grateful for his comforting presence in the darkness of the night.

"Lily, what do you want." Chase mumbled sleepily, causing me to smile at his half-asleep state. I whispered back, "Just you," before closing my eyes and drifting back into a peaceful slumber.

"Mhm, night." Chase murmured before pulling me closer, wrapping his arms around me protectively. The rain continued to fall outside, lulling us both back into a deep and restful sleep.

Lily's thoughts like rn:

"No fucking way I said that..." I told myself, blushing at my own boldness.

"Mhm, I'm either really brave, or really stupid." I whispered to myself , feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness at my own confession.

Lily gets snapped back to reality:

"You aren't stupid, Lily." Chase's voice interrupted my thoughts, causing me to smile at his reassuring words. "Just brave," he added, before planting a gentle kiss on my forehead. His comforting presence made me feel safe and loved, allowing me to finally drift off into a peaceful slumber.

Back to Lily's thoughts

"Why does he love me so much? Either way I still love him back." Lily's heart swelled with gratitude for Chase's unwavering support and affection. As she closed her eyes, she knew that their love would continue to strengthen and grow with each passing day.

Morning, 7:30AM Nusian time Third Person POV

"Wake up, Lily." Chase's gentle voice called out to her, his warm hand resting on her shoulder. Lily opened her eyes to see his loving gaze, feeling grateful for another day by his side.

"How do you still wake up earlier than me while you are still drunk?" Lily chuckled, playfully nudging him as she sat up in bed. Chase just smiled, planting a soft kiss on her forehead before getting up to make coffee, their morning routine filled with love and laughter.

"The alcohol hasn't left my body yet." Chase admitted with a chuckle, his eyes crinkling with amusement. Lily watched him fondly, feeling lucky to have him in her life.

"Wake your asses up, everyone." Chase called out the team , his voice filled with a mix of authority and warmth, as they prepared for another day of training. Lily smiled at his natural leadership, knowing they were in good hands with him at the helm.

"What's with the reduced tone?" Aradus asked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity,

"The alcohol hasn't cleared out yet." Chase chuckled, "I'm just trying to be considerate of your delicate ears, Aradus." Lily laughed at their banter, grateful for the camaraderie among their team. "Well, hurry up and get ready," Chase said with a grin, "We've got work to do."

"We're going back to Cyber City." Chase 's announcement was met with a mixture of excitement and determination from the team. Lily felt a surge of adrenaline at the thought of another mission in the bustling metropolis, ready to face whatever challenges awaited them there.

"Let's go, men." Chase said, leading the way as they all prepared to embark on their next adventure in Cyber City.
