Aftermath

"Welcome back President, and Ranpo-san."

Fukuzawa nodded at him before gesturing the seat across from him "Thank you, Dazai. It's good to be back." He said "I'm sorry for calling you here early in the morning, I knew how late the mission went. But I understand that you requested a time off for 4 days hence this is your only available time."

Dazai nodded taking the seat in front of him, right across their President and Ranpo. "With everything that went down just this morning, the time off isn't actually for me but I need to be back home and take care of my child and Chuuya."

Ranpo looked at him "How are they? I know everything went according to plan but still... any permanent damage to Yue-kun?" Ranpo asked a rare hint of worry mixed in his tone

Dazai sent him a reassuring smile "Don't worry Yosano-sensei assured me that everything will be okay with Yue's eyes. Though... his healing time would be longer this time considering the sudden outburst of his ability. Although both of his eyes are blind right now, Yosano-sensei told me that gradually Yue would get them back, he just needs plenty of rest."

Fukuzawa and Ranpo looked relieved at that "The information that Yue sent us was everything that we needed in Germany. Because of the list of names, they were able to trace even the smallest group that Ezekiel managed to gather in Germany, I was told that even until now they are arresting dozens of people that took part on his plan for the last 10 years." Fukuzawa explains "So please, take all the time you need to take care of your family Dazai."

With their agreement Fukuzawa slid a clear white folder into Dazai's direction, with Dazai just looking at it already having the gist of what's inside "The request that you wanted... wasn't easy but Ranpo here managed to... fabricate it before being returned to the German government."

Ranpo pouted as he looked at the folder as if it offended him "I'm not a fan of paper work you know! You better appreciate the work that went in to that Dazai!"

Dazai chuckled before finally picking up the folder, he opened the file his eyes skimming the contents of it. As he reached the end of the document, they could see a dull sense of relief was glinted in those brown eyes. "Once again thank you." Dazia said as he slowly closed the folder before sliding it across their President.

Ranpo raised an eyebrow at that "What? Not gonna take it home or show it to the others? I just know that at some point they will be curious about how the events went down with you and Ezekiel."

Dazai hummed "There is a reason why I wanted some information deleted from Ezekiel's file before the submission, Ranpo-san~" Dazai easily said leaning back on the chair "As long as they know the half-truth, maybe that's enough for now."

Ranpo groaned as he picked up the folder, opening the first page as he reads it out loud as if the people in the meeting room with him are not aware of its contents already
