"A party really? They have the audacity to throw a party of all things? In the enemy territory?"

Chuya on his part just shrugged at the clear disbelief that Kunikida has on his face "I don't know what else to tell you but that's what they were talking about while painting the mural."

It's been 30 minutes since Chuuya woke up from blacking out after Yue's ability. It turns out that because their client consciousness was affected during the memory, it also affected Yue and Chuuya when they connected. That would also explain why Yue also fell asleep just shorty after entering the client's mind. As of the moment, Chuuya is recollecting everything he saw from the client then relaying the information to the rest.

Kunikida groaned, as if frustrated "Just how low do they think we are? Having the guts to do something like that in the middle of the disappearances of people"

Dazai chuckled, as if already knowing why, "Well~ It's not that surprising really considering that they are on their 18th victims and yet no evidences are yet to be found. Add to that is the fact that they are literally taunting the police with the murals painted all over the crime scene. It just means that they are really confident with their abilities that they think they are invincible. But that works in our favor, trust me, they will get cocky enough to slip."

Ranpo nodded "Well they already did, not gonna lie I expected more from them but alas, they are just a group of foreigners who thinks they are superior~"

Atsushi hummed "What more do we know about them?" he asked

"Well per Yue's vision, first your client is wrong. They were 4 people during his mate's kidnapping, 3 guys and a girl. I could describe them to you but it would seem mute at this point seeing as they will be showing themselves 2 weeks from now. But from what I can tell you from the memories is that... the ability of one of them was called "Lavander Haze" it's a purple fog that makes the target dizzy, then for some reason, your client's memory was actually deleted."

The statement got their attention, it was Yosano who raised her eyebrow at that "What do you mean deleted? It's not like a... like a fog that just makes you sleepy? There was more to that fog?"

Chuuya nodded "Yes, because right before your client fell asleep one of the guys told the ability user to 'make sure you delete this part, Wilford' oh so I guess the Wilford guy has the lavender haze ability. But yes, if by going with their statement, they could not just make their target fall asleep but also manipulate their memory."

"Well... that's not good... with an ability like that there is no telling what they could so with that" Tanizaki mumbled

Something got Kunikida's attention "Wait... if they can delete the memory then why... how did Yue saw that man's memory?"

Surprisingly it was Yue who answered "Well technically speaking, they don't 'actually' delete any memory because frankly nothing can delete an already made memory. For example, even though a normal person gets into a traumatic incident that mess up their memories, in a way, the memories they lost isn't actually deleted but rather... well let's just say 'locked up' far away in their minds." Yue said "It applies to the normal principle of how our mind works, we don't forget any memories made, it just gets lost or locked up to the point that we don't remember them. So if we apply that to this scenario, the ability Lavander haze doesn't 'delete', but rather 'locks up' any memory that Wilford guy wants."

Dazai looks so proud and smug that even Chuuya can reflect on that. Ranpo whistled "See guys? The kid is doing a much better job analyzing the situation than you~" Ranpo teased as he plopped a lollipop on his mouth "Good job Yue-kun~ You should really get paid part time here."
