18- Mountains

Ruby and the others hurriedly packed their weapons.
Ruby's weapon is a huge sword.
Penelope’s weapon, a crossbow with arrows on her back, on her pocket is a dagger.
Seth's weapon is a sword much like Ruby's but with something written on the handle.
Mary's weapon is a much thinner but longer sword compared to Ruby's and Seth's.

Ruby and Penelope Onny into a dressing room.
"First, let's replace your clothes with a much more....."Ruby said.
"You need to put on a armor"Penelope said.
Onny nodded.
Ruby and Penelope gathered a bunch of full body armor and gave it to Onny and left the dressing room for some privacy.
Onny sighed and took off his clothes,
Standing in front of the huge mirror.
His body was covered with little but not noticeable scars. He puts his tight black t-shirt again.

He searched for a much smaller armor since a lot of them are twice his size.
Once he found a smaller armor, it's actually not an armor more of a metallic corset.
"Interesting" he thought.
He slowly puts it on and it perfectly fits his waist not even needing to adjust it.
And soon found a pair of cuisses.
He puts back his pants again and puts on the cuisses over his thighs and fits.
He looked at himself on the mirror and puts on his cropped sweater and scarf again.
"This.... I look like a fucking dork but this will do" he muttered.

Onny stepped out of the room and immediately noticed Penelope and Ruby already changed into their own armors. Then Penelope shouted "Aww!! You're so cute with that"
"Damn, if I'm not mistaken you look almost look like a girl" Ruby said.

Onny blushed at their compliments.

Thanks to Onny's feminine body the corset and cuisses fits his body perfectly and fits well with his other clothes.

He wore his bag and gulped. He held and gripped his scythe tightly while following the others towards an exit of the palace which is located at the back of the palace.

Onny saw the huge dark corridor and at the end is a rusty metallic huge door.
Seth opened the door where the Sun's rays light up their faces.
Outside there were two maids, four knights and Ariah.

Onny never saw the four knights before.

"Come on" Ariah coldly said.
Ariah turned around and a back scabbard and placed a huge sword.
Onny noticed that and thought it was cool.

Onny and the others followed Ariah inside the woods.
As they went deeper the more noises were heard and overgrown tree roots they passed by.
Minutes have passed and none of them spoke a word.
Suddenly the ground started shaking and in front of them is what seemed to be a huge millipede running towards them. The four knights and Penelope point their weapons at the upcoming millipede. The millipede got closer every second.
Before they could do anything, Ariah suddenly lunged towards the millipede with her sword on her hands and with one swift movement, Ariah stabbed and pierced the head of the millipede. Her huge sword goes all the way to the millipede's mouth up to its head. Making the millipede screech in pain and once Ariah removed the sword off its mouth it collapsed on the ground and oozed green and green blood.

"Let's go" Ariah simply said and put her sword back to the scabbard while the others literally watched her single handedly kill a beast.

Onny looked at Penelope nudged Seth and whispered "oohh, you're blushing" she said in a teasing tone then giggled.
Seth just rolled his eyes and continued walking.

Minutes after minutes had passed and Onny always see other creatures around the trees hiding. It's all pretty odd because they'll usually attack them the second they see them, but...... They all seem to be hiding from something.

Two hours had passed and they finally reached the mountain.

Ariah looked around and found stairs.
"Hm, they're still here" she said.
"What do you mean 'still here'?" Penelope asked.
"This is the stairs my grandfather ordered his men to build. It goes all the way up the mountain" Ariah answered.
Ariah looked up the rocky, old, and dark the path of the stairs and surrounded by huge overgrown trees
She slowly took a step and another and another until the others followed her up.

They all could hear the creatures screeching and making all sorts of noises.

An hour had passed and Ariah decided to rest for a moment.
"It's lunch, Mary and I prepared fruit salads for everyone, so enjoy" Ariah gestures one of the maids carrying a bag to give them the packed salads on plastic containers.
The maid gave everyone each. The maids and Onny sat on the stairs while the rest kept on standing while eating the salad.

After a while they all finished there food and threw the containers away and proceeded to walk up again.

Another hour passed.

All of the sudden Ariah stopped.
Then all of them did.
"This couldn't be" Ariah muttered.

The stairs and everything around it got destroyed..... The side of the mountain got absolutely destroyed.
And it now looked like a cliff.
"Did something slide down?" Ruby asked.
"It couldn't be a rock" One of the maids said.
"It's her" Ariah said.
"Oh, shit. It got... Bigger" Penelope said.
"Fuck! How do we cross now? I mean I can still see the other side of the stairs but-" one of the guards said but Ariah interrupted.
"If we can see the stairs we can reach it.."
"You don't mean" Ruby said.
"It's the only choice. We can't climb up these trees and look, there's still space for us to walk across" Ariah said.
Everyone didn't dare fight with Ariah, so they all agreed.

Ariah took a deep breath and slowly put her other foot on one of the Rocks and proceeded to walk, her back and sword touching the side of the mountain side.
She looked down and carefully guided her foot to every rock and soil she could find and step on.
The other's watch her anxiously.
After five minutes Ariah successfully reached the other side.

"Hey, Onny. Why don't I guide you" Ruby said.
"Hm? Oh no it's fine. I'm the smallest here so I think I can do it. And besides back at our fa- ehm yeah I'm used to walking on small things" Onny reassured her.
"Still, why don't I go first and you follow" Ruby said.
Onny nodded.
He took a deep breath and looked down and copied all the steps Ariah took when she did it.
"You guys can do it!" Ariah cheers.
Onny smiled and he flawlessly made it to the other side.
Ruby followed and succeeded.
Then Penelope followed and Mary then Seth.
One of the made got pass, but the other one is too scared to do it so she decided she'll go last.
The three other knights got pass and they where two left.
The other started cheering them.
The knight held the maids hand and said. "I'll guide us there, don't worry"
Those words actually brought confidence to the maid, so she nodded and slowly stepped on the rock while the knight held her hand.
She was shivering and frantically looked down her path and to the knight besides her holding her hands.
She smiled then.... Suddenly the hole mountain started shaking.
Ariah and the others stumbled but immediately gained balance and held to each other for support but the two.....
The maid lost balance and slipped but the knight desperately pull her while his other hand held onto one of the rocks.
The other knights wanted to help but the earthquake was getting more violent.
The maid started crying, and one of the knights couldn't stand it so he hurriedly walked the rocks again holding on the side of the cliff while trying to reach the knight but before he can all of the sudden..... The mountain cracked open at exactly the spot where the two knights are standing and the maid hanging.
The head of the centipede pops out of the cliff and proceeds to push the two off the cliff and plummets down while the centipede crawled out the gaping hole and proceeds to follow where the two fell to probably eat them.

All of them froze and fell for a moment but immediately got up and tried to help the knight still holding onto the side of the cracking earth but they were too late, the knight lost his balance and fell.

All of them gasped.
"Lets go!" Ariah shouted and leads the other out of the falling rocks and the never ending body of the centipede leaving the hole on the mountain.
