25- Nightmares

"I'm stuffed" Onny said while rubbing his stomach.
"Yeah, the food was delicious"
"I know right?! And you can't even believe that it was made of pure vegetables and fruits only"
"Oh really? The cook might be a chef" Kyle smiled.
"Uhm so.... Where do you wanna sleep?" Onny asked.
"Oh, uhm, it's up to you"
"Well there's plenty of empty rooms here you could just sleep in one" Onny smiled pointing to the different rooms around the hallway they were walking through.
"Uhm, okay" Kyle watched Onny enter his own room.
"Good night!" Onny said before closing the door behind him.
"You too" Kyle stopped for a moment and decided to enter the room close to Onny's.

"Pa! Saan ka?! Lola!! Asan po kayo?!"
("Pa! Where are you?! Grandma?! Where are you guys?!")

"Manahimik ka!!"
("Shut up!!")

"Gasp!" Onny suddenly woke up gasping for air, and sat up.
"H-hey, are you okay?" Kyle suddenly appeared and sat on the bed next to Onny and started rubbing Onny's back.
Onny teared up and wiped his tears.
"K-Kyle? W-what are you doing here?"
"I-uh I couldn't sleep so I wanted to- uhm check on you"
"O-oh"
"What happened anyway? Did you have a nightmare?" M
Onny nodded.
"I guess"
"Tell me" Kyle gave Onny a pinch on the cheek.
Onny smiled and looked at his hands trembling.
"It's nothing just a memory from before.... Voices...."
"Voices?"
"Yep, I haven't had a nightmare like this in weeks though, and I feel like the memory nor words were mine"
"What do you mean by that?"
"I keep hearing voices in my dreams, sometimes they're clear, sometimes they're blurry And I'm sure those weren't my voice"
"Huh"
"Enough about nightmares, what about you?"
"What about me?"
"You said you couldn't sleep"
"Oh that, it's just that I couldn't because when I started to make my way here a couple weeks ago... I... I never actually slept through those times"
"Oh"
"It was just hard to sleep when you know there's monsters lurking around you, so I just started to keep watch all night and when I find a safe place to take a nap, I take the chance"
Onny smiled.
"Well you can sleep now, I promise you there's no more monsters around, me and the knights made sure of it"
Onny moved to give some space on the bed and gestured Kyle to lay on it.
Kyle didn't refuse and and slowly made his way besides Onny.
Onny tucked himself again and within minutes he started to drift off.
Kyle just laid there watching Onny sleep and felt something...... He felt safe again and slowly drifted to sleep while his hands are around Onny's waist again.

Onny woke up, yawning and rubbing his eyes.
Kyle wasn't on the bed anymore.
Onny thought that he might have already woken up.
"Good morning, sleepy head"
Onny got surprised, at the corner of his eye was Kyle standing while holding a bowl with fruits and vegetables.
"I made you something" Kyle made his way to the bed and sat down, handing Onny the bowl.
"Thanks! And good morning"
Onny looked at the meal and smiled at Kyle.
"Sigh"
"Why?" Onny asked while already munching on the fruits and vegetables.
"I can't stay any longer Onny"
"O-oh yeah, your journey"
Onny frowned and looked sadly at the bowl.
"Hey, don't be sad. I'll be back"
Onny didn't respond.
Kyle sighed again and pinched Onny's cheek again.
"Hey, ow!" Onny laughed.
"And remember the boat Moris gave you?"
"Oh yeah, sheesh uhm I kinda lost it"
"Not really, I actually meet Princess Ariah, and she happily said the boat was still alive and somewhere out the river"
"Wait really?"
"Yeah and while you were asleep I actually searched for the boat, it took me hours but I actually found it"
"Holy shit! Where?!"

"Woah!"
Onny and Kyle was standing outside the palace and on the rocks is the boat.
"See, I found it and did a little prepare and cleaning and is now brand new! Well with the help of Ruby of course"
"Wait you two got along?"
"Yep, she saw me struggling with the boat so she happily gave me a hand and within hours we finally fixed it"
"Damn, you guys can do many things while I'm asleep"
Kyle sighed and gripped his bag tightly.
"Onny I actually woke you up to say goodbye"
"Wait what? I thought it take more time-"
"Yes, but time is the thing I don't have right now"
"Oh"
Onny got sad again and felt something that someone special to him is gonna leave again.... Like his parents.
"I'll come!" Onny shouted without any hesitation.
"What?! No! No, you can't! I-its too dangerous"
"Well I survived coming here and I'll survive again!"
"Onny I only came here to see you! Not to take you away"
"But... It's what I want!"
"Onny please it's too dangerous! A-and you already made new friends here!"
"Yes I did and they're really great and amazing! But whats more amazing is to- to- to take the chance and hope to see my family again!"
Kyle was speechless.

"It's your choice Onny" Ariah suddenly said behind them.
"H-huh?" Onny turned around and looked.
"I know how it feels to lose someone dearest to me, and I know that's your family. So it's your choice to make" Ariah said with a calm expression.
Onny looked at Kyle before looking back to meet Ariah's face and nodded.
