22- "I've loved you"/backstories

"Take that!"
"Wooh!"
"You're slaying it Mary!"
Ruby and Mary kept shouting inside the garden, while taking out the centipedes.
Ruby watched Mary dance with her sword, with every swift movement, she'd always slash and kill one centipede.
As for Ruby, she fought like a tank, using her armor to tackle the centipedes.

"Ack! Why do I have to clean after the princess!" A thirteen year old girl complained to her mother.
"Ruby, listen to me you already turned into a teen and it's our duty as the palace maids to clean" her mother calmly answered.
"I know! But why can't I just be a guard or a knight!"
"It's not our job to do that. Look at Mary over there, she's still twelve and she's already cleaning" Ruby's mother pointed at the dinner table in which Mary was cleaning.
"Why don't you go talk to her"
Ruby hesitated for a moment before nodding and approached Mary.
"Uhm hey, whatcha doin'?"
"U-uh uhm. C-cleaning" Little Mary shyly said.
"Uhm okay! Well this looks like a huge table! Why don't we clean it together?"
Mary's eyes sparkled.
"Yes please!"
Ruby laughed and picked up a wet towel and started swiping the table with Mary, giggling and laughing.
"So Mary huh? I've heard so much about you"
"Y-you did?"
"Yep, and I gotta say you're just one year younger than me"
"O-oh yeah"
"Yep, but why are you already doing... This?"
Mary sighed and looked down sadly.
"My mother and father are guards here a-and" she couldn't even finish her story and started crying.
"H-hey it's okay"
"Im all alone, s-since they- they passed away"
"O-oh, well good news for you! You are no longer alone! Because I'm here"
On That day, started a different kind of friendship.

Meanwhile Ariah and Seth are still hugging each other and decide that if they won't make it out, they'll have some fun in the ball room. While walking they started talking about there childhood memories, sharing all their memories completely forgetting about what's happening.

One night a young soon to be princess and leader snuck out her room to play in one of her favorite room inside the palace, the ball room, she once danced and been praised in.
Giggling and talking to herself, little Ariah reached the hallways going to the ballroom.
"Almost there tehee" once she got there she immediately started dancing like a majestic swan.
But she stopped, she heard something.
"Who's there?" She said.
"I-I will tell my father, w-which is the leader-"
"Please don't" as a little boy suddenly popped out the darkness.
"Hey, I know you" Ariah tilted her head.
"Huh! You're the son of my father's noble knight!... Uhm I remember your name"
"Seth, Seth Dapman" little Seth shyly said.
Ariah smiled and giggled "oh right! Hehe. Uhm so what brings you here Seth?"
"I was just roaming around and I saw you- uhm dance" he replied with a slight blush on his cheek.
"So wanna dance together?" Ariah happily asked.
"U-uhm I can't dance well but you sure can! But I thought your father didn't want you distracting yourself with this activity"
"Who cares about what that old man says, come on! I'll teach you"
Ariah reached to grab Seth's hand and pulled him closer and began teaching him.
That was the moment two little hearts started to connect.... But secretly.

Once they got there... The ballroom is  filled with centipedes, crawling on the walls.
"Fuck" Seth muttered.
"No, centipedes will destroy our fun"
Ariah reached for her sword and stepped inside the ball room.
Then a centipede launched at her but immediately she swings her hand and sword and twirled... She smoothly slayed the centipede.
"Come on~ let's dance, Seth" she smiled.
Seth couldn't help but blush.
Ariah smiled and started dancing with glory and swift.
With every swing and twirle she does she would slash and stab the centipedes around her.
Seth didn't care if he had a injury on his waist, he grabbed his own sword and stepped closer to Ariah.
Ariah stopped and looked at Seth kneeling in front of her, his hands up.
"Princess Ariah, would you want to dance with a low life knight?" He said with a hint of embarrassment and shyness.
Ariah giggled and slowly stepped forward holding Seth's hand as approval.
"You talk nonsense, and yes I'll take this handsome and brave Knight's hand to dance with me and to-" she hesitates "to- be my lover".
Once Seth heard those words, his heart felt like it was pierced with Cupid's arrow. He looked up, his cheek all red.
"Oh, Ariah" he stood up and held Ariah's hand tightly, while smiling.
He leaned down and and slowly kissed Ariah.
The moment the two have been waiting for.
They pulled apart and smiled at each other. Seth suddenly swings Ariah and grabbed her waist, Ariah realized what's happening so she layed her hands on Seth's shoulder, and their two hands hold each other and in the middle is Ariah's sword.
They started dancing with the sword still pointing and slashing the nearby centipedes.
With every spin and movement they do, they made a romantic dance and a bloody centipede massacre.
