Third Person POV
The sound of smooth jazz circled the office as Rody skimmed through his boss's shelf, the two men were trying to organize the workspace and searched for any junk to throw out. That's when the waiter stumbled upon a gold frame, it seemed to hold a picture of a young woman; her hair was cut short, her eyes were dark matching the raven-colored strands, and she seemed to be smoking a cigarette... He would be lying if he said that woman wasn't gorgeous, but what was that picture doing in Vince's office?
Vincent seemed to notice the other's man gaze and decided to give him a little tease, "Like what you're seeing over there, Lamoree?" — The waiter jumped at the sudden question, "Yeah it just caught my eye while browsing..! I actually was about to ask, who is she?"
"Why would you like to know, do you have the hots for her?"
"What!? No.. ok maybe but I'm sure she's way out of my league!"
"What if I said that you're exactly her type?"
"I wouldn't believe you, also who is she anyway? Was she like your secret lover?"
"No Rody, that was me back in college.. I grew out my hair back then..." — The chef looked back to his employee for a response only to be met with the man's jaw dropped, well shit... Vincent sighed before walking closer to the waiter and flipping the frame down, "Now that you know, you don't have to look anymore, Lamoree... You're dismissed, don't snoop around my things anymore." — He then turns away and begins to organize the shelf on the opposite wall, feeling the atmosphere become tense all of a sudden; leaving his partner in shock and confusion. The raven could feel his employee's eyes piercing through him like a dagger, making shivers run up his spine but quickly pushing them down to keep up his cold face.
That is until he felt a warm hand grab onto him before being twisted to face Rody and grabbed on both shoulders, "What is it, Rody? I told you can go hom—"
"WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO OUT WITH ME?"
"Pardon me..?"
"Would you like to go out with me, like a date..?" — The chef looked down before looking back up and was met with his waiter's flushed-out face, looking like he could burst into tears at any moment.
"And if I reject that offer?" — The pale man teased watching as his employee tensed up and his eyes widened slightly.
"You're kidding right?"
"Was I too obvious? I would love to go on a date with you.."— Vincent coughed out, his eyes shifting toward the wall as if a way to avoid Rody's.
"Wait really?"
"I'm not repeating myself..." — A light chuckle was heard from the other man, and with a slight pull Vincent's lips were met by Rody's as they shared a passionate kiss, one that was more of a mix of emotions and affection than lust. After a minute the two pulled back, and the sound of panting and heavy breathing was the only sound heard, it seemed like the record set early had turned off but neither company was complaining.
"Would the park at 7 pm work for you tomorrow, the bistro is closed.." — Rody breathed out as he leaned closer to the other man, his hands wishing to never let go of Vincent.
"That works for me.." — They both come to an agreement and the chef is the first to free himself from the embrace and start to pick up his stuff before escorting the duo outside.
"See you tomorrow?" — Vincent nods before placing a small peck on the other's cheek and observing as his employee pedals off.

.

It was currently 6 pm and Rody was debating over what he should wear, he wanted to impress the chef but didn't want to show off too much. He felt like he was wasting too much time, so he quickly threw on a casual outfit before rushing out of the house and heading into the city. The waiter runs from shop to shop, using his savings to buy a bouquet of roses and lilies and a lemon tart from a nearby bakery.
6:45 pm
Well shit.. he was running late! The waiter packed up all his bags onto the bike's handles and began to pedal down to the local park; once he reached the gates, he quickly parked his bike and ran to find a spot for the two. After a few minutes, he found a quiet place, that faced towards the horizon and tower, it was perfect! Rody began to prepare the space, first laying down a picnic blanket, then setting down the flowers and pastries, and finally sitting himself down and began waiting for his partner.

.

7 pm
Rody began to worry as he could not see any signs of the pale man anywhere, perhaps the other stood him up.. It was only just a few seconds, it shouldn't be that big of a deal, he must be running late then!
7:12 pm
The waiter looked at his watch before setting his wrist down in defeat, Vincent had forgotten about their date or just didn't bother coming.. Both outcomes hurt his heart dearly, what did he expect? The other man clearly didn't want to be in a relationship, especially with his own staff!
His train of thought was interrupted when he heard shuffling next to him, the waiter turned his head and was relieved when he was met by a familiar face, it was Vincent!
"I apologize for showing up so late, I couldn't decide on what to get you.. Your taste is quite unique..!" — Rody couldn't tell if that was an insult or compliment, but he was too happy to even complain.
"How lousy for the prestige chef of  'La Guele De Saturne'," — He mocked, earning an unimpressed look from his boss and a small flick to the head.
The waiter hissed at the pain but relaxed when he felt Vincent begin to rub the wound as an apology, "Tsk you think too low of me Lamoree.."
The raven pulled out a bottle of white wine and a small box with a black ribbon tied at the center, he handed it to his partner. Rody got the message and took it from his hand before slowly undoing the bow, removing the ribbon, and taking off the lid. Light sparkled right back at him, there was a gold watch full on display.
"Woah! How much was this Vince!?" — He looked over to the chef who pointed toward the bottom of the box.
'1,200$' (it's American I know but I don't know how European currency works !)
"Are you crazy!? That's a lot!" — Vincent scoffs before lighting a cigarette and taking in a breath before letting out a puff of smoke into the air.
"I was crazy enough to accept your date.." — The waiter gave the other a playful punch in the shoulder before tackling him down. They find themselves in an awkward position in which Vincent's wrists are pinned above his head, held by Rody's hand.
"I dare you to say that again..!" — Rody panted as he tried to catch his breath,
"I was crazy enough to accept your pitiful date.."
The two broke into small fits of laughter before leaning in for another kiss, closing in the night. . .
