Epoxe starts the fire while Hatchet and Edge go collect firewood. They walk in silence for a few minutes.
Hatchet: "You got an idea what to do with the flour?"
Edge: "i.. uhm.. We have a lot of oil.. maybe we could?.. uhm.."
Hatchet: "Like fry it?"
Edge: "Uhm sure."
Hatchet: "ugh.. I ain't sure.."
Edge: "What's your idea then?"
Hatchet: "I found some spices. I was thinking like a seasoned pitas?"
Edge: "I guess so."
Hatchet: "Well, Epoxe Probably already has it figured out. He is the idea guy after all."
Edge smiles: "I know.."
Hatchet: "What's your story with Epoxe anyway?"
Edge gets tense: "Why are you asking that?"
Hatchet: "Cuz you seem to know Epoxe for a long time but I barely know anything about you."
Edge: "Why should I answer you?"
Hatchet: "You don't have to.. But you being so secretive about it doesn't help convince me you are someone I can trust Epoxe with."
Edge: "I don't care about convincing you."
They enter the forest.
Hatchet: "Ok? Just that I've known Epoxe for many years and he hasn't really mentioned you, at least not by name."
Edge: "Why are you saying that? Whatever, I don't believe you anyway."
It bothers Edge to hear that Epoxe didn't talk about her much. She is afraid he is embarrassed to know her. She worries and wants to know what Epoxe said about her when he did mention her to others.
Hatchet:..."ehm sure.. Honestly tell me, why would I lie about something like that?"
Edge doesn't respond.
Hatchet gives up on getting an answer and starts picking up some twigs and branches, Edge does the same. Hatchet comes up to Edge.
Hatchet: "Bring out your arms."
Edge obeys. Hatchet gives her all his branches and twigs.
Hatchet: "Can you carry that all the way home?"
Edge: "Of course I can."
Hatchet: "Alright."
Hatchet grabs 2 longs over his shoulder and starts going back.
Hatchet: "That should be enough, let's go."
Edge follows. Edge is still worrying about what Epoxe said about her.
Edge: "What did Epoxe say about me?"
Hatchet: "What you mean?"
Edge:.."You said he mentioned me?"
Hatchet: "You were thinking about this the whole time?"
Edge: "No, I wasn't."
Hatchet: "Right..."
Hatchet stays silent. Edge is getting frustrated.
Edge: "So?"
Hatchet: "So what?"
Edge: "What did Epoxe say?"
Hatchet: "You still on about that thing? And I was here thinking it doesn't bother you."
