Epoxe, Hatchet, and Edge all lived in the same big town. An independent society that managed to stay civilized even after the corruption came. It cannot be called a faction for the lack of any form of a leader or authoritative subject.

Epoxe and Hatchet, both growing up on the street, had been best friends since childhood. They often went looking for supplies together, helped each other out, or just hung out and had fun. Epoxe was an orphan and had to take care of himself from an early age. He was under foster care but there were many other kids, and the foster parents were barely covering even the most basic necessities. The real reason how he was able to survive was his inventive nature and charming personality as well as his relationship with Hatchet and Edge's parents. Even though Edge's parents were much older than Epoxe, they were good friends. They often offered him to help out with house chores for some money and then later when the corruption came, they sometimes gave him food or let him sleep over. They treated him like a distant relative you're always happy to welcome and catch up with. Alongside Hatchet, they were the closest thing to a family Epoxe had so whenever he came for a visit, he came there to talk with them. But given Edge lived there, he would sometimes get caught up in a conversation with her. From how Edge acted, the way she carried her plushie everywhere and her parents sometimes slipping a word, he could tell she wasn't experiencing emotions the same way others do. Epoxe was always kind towards her, and her parents always appreciated him giving Edge attention and allowing her to socialize.

There were some hiccups, not every plan worked as well as he was hoping, and there were few people who didn't like him, but he managed to charm himself into an adulthood with a healthy number of connections and optimistic outlook. As to his appearance, he found, traded and eared enough food to be a tall, somewhat slim, healthy, averagely strong guy. He has short light brown hair, and his eyes are also brown, be it with a darker shade. His only preferred fashion piece is his signature long coat, and his favorite weapon is his self-reinforced staff made specifically to take care of the corrupted from a safe distance.

One day the Forgers came to the town and started going through buildings, taking whatever they wanted and claiming territory. No one knew who they were, and most were afraid of them, so no one really stepped out against them and those who did, were quickly put in their place. Some joined the Forgers, including Edge's parents. In fact, Edge's parents embraced the ways of the Forgers wholeheartedly and quickly became valued members because of the information they provided about the local area. Through their time spent around the Forgers, they learned that they have to make Edge tough at any cost if she is to survive in this world. Epoxe himself didn't join the Forgers but he was tolerated thanks to his relations with Edge's parents and them often putting in a word for him. Hatchet was also tolerated because he let them use his smithy and because the Forgers saw that Hatchet was strong. He was a kid hardened by street life. His way of surviving was less neat than Epoxe's often needing to rely on intimidation, working for not-so-honest people, and even violence. All this was written on his proud stance, muscular build, tall intimidating statue and even his abrasive *tough guy* way of speaking. That also meant the Forgers they often demanded he spar with them. He proved to be a suitable test for the forger apprentices. At first, he didn't mind it and thought it was quite fun, but the Forgers didn't care if he wanted, was tired, had a sore arm or just needed to do something else with his time. He was given only 2 options, defend himself or not. He fought a lot of people, and at times he took things to a personal level, shouting, insulting and rubbing in his victories. He usually won, but he didn't have the same mentorship or access to training like the forgers did so inevitably, the apprentices would beat him and prove their strength to their mentor. One apprentice disturbed Hatchet. He had to fight her only two times. The first time he almost felt bad given it seemed, she, just like him, didn't want to be there but the second time, much later, she caught him completely off guard which caused him to lose probably the quickest out of all times. Alongside quite a few bruises and newly found hatred towards the Forgers, he gained a lot of combat experience from these sparring duels. He has short, messy black hair and dark blue eyes. As for his choice of clothing, anything that provides protection, doesn't restrain his mobility and doesn't make him stand out, he will layer on himself. His weapon and also a tool of choice is his one-handed hatchet.
