Task Force

Intel

After a few days of waiting, the Task Force got intel on the California Golden Taxi Service's plans.  

Kate gave the briefing, "It looks like their going to split up to two separate convoys. One is going to the Pacific Coast Highway to the port and the second one is going I-5 then I-405 then to I-710 to go to the Port. However, we want to see if we can get them to go into state road 73 to Crystal Cove State Park so we can avoid a shootout with civilians in the crosshairs," 

Callen said, "Would that work?" Kate said, "Honestly, I don't know. It's possible they could bypass construction/road block and continue to on I-5," Sam said, "What about leading the second group to State Road 133 and State Road 241 to Limestone Canyon Nature Preserve?" Kate said, "That can work," Tori said, "What are the chances of a shootout?" Jane said, "I said 50-50, At one hand, they don't want to risk anything blowing up and losing money but just are they could just fire their weapons to either fight their way out or go out with guns blazing to avoid being arrested," Tori said, "Great," Kensi said, "I'm sure you'll been on shootouts before, Captain," Tori said, "More than I like to admit," Callen said, "Same here," Fatima said, "When does this happen?" Kate said, "It's said that Napoleon's ship comes in next week so that's when the convoys happened maybe a day earlier,"  

After the briefing, Tori noticed Lt. Gonzalez going to a private room. Being curious, Tori went to check it out by cracking open the door a little bit, and sure enough, she overheard Gonzalez on the phone presuming with someone from the Golden Taxi Service and Gonzalez said they knew of our plans. Then Tori grabbed her gun, opened the door, and pointed the gun at Gonzalez and said, "You're in big fucking trouble, Gonzalez,". Then another officer, Lt. Fowler said, "Actually, you are Captain," as pointed his gun at Tori.

Luckily for Tori, Callen, Sam, Kensi, Kate, Jane, and Chief Crowley came in to draw their guns at Flower and Gonzalez and Callen said, "Wow, looks like someone started the party without us. You could have invited us. Sam and I are great at parties," Sam grabbed Gonzalez's phone and told the person on another line, "Hello, Who is this?" and the other person hung up. Callen said, "You got two options, Lieutenant, you can surrender and cooperate with us and maybe get a good deal," as he was going towards Tori and ended up being in the crosshairs of Fowler's gun and continued, "or you could shoot a federal agent and get a life sentence at best or my friends here use you as target practice and they are good shooters, take your pick," 

Fowler ended up emptying his weapon, laying it down, and surrendering. Callen said, "Wise choice Fowler,". Fowler and Gonzalez were arrested. Kate said after what happened," We screened these officers," Sam said, "Either they slipped through the cracks or the Taxi Service paid them off," Kate said, "Either way, I better rescreen everyone involved," Kate and Chief Crowley left to rescreen everyone in the task force. 

Callen asked Tori, "Are you OK?" Tori said, "I am, Thanks," Callen said, "No problem, anytime just don't make it a habit," Tori said, "Trust me, I like not to have a gun pointed at me," Jane said, "Was that the first time you had a gun pointed at you?" Tori said, "It's happened more than I like to admit and probably won't be the last time either." Kensi said, "Have you been shot before?" Tori said, "Twice though wounded once unless you can the bruising,"      

Tori's phone buzzed and saw it was Andre texting that he needed to see her.  Tori said, "Andre wants to see me," Jane said, "Go ahead and go," Callen said, "Yeah, go take an early lunch we got this," and Tori left.  

Tori however doesn't know Andre texted her on behalf of Jade who was with Rountree and Deeks at Andre's recording studio though Jade was alone with Andre. Jade wanted to talk to Tori. Jade said, "I owe you one, Andre," Andre said, "Any chance you would give up on your pursuit of Tori?"  Jade said, "Well, almost anything," Andre said, "You have a better chance with Tori than I do," Jade said, "Why do you say that?" 

Andre said, "What do you know about Tori's incident with the guy she shot?" Jade said, "I know she killed the guy and it was three shots and not two and he was in finance," Andre said, "You did your research," Jade said, "I did even though her name was kept out of news stories," Andre said, "She was actually seeing that guy," Jade said, "WOW!!!" Andre said, "Yeah, she dated him after things with Ryder ended again and they went to a formal dinner then after the dinner, he attacked she because she wouldn't have sex with him and I don't think she dated a guy or anyone else before we dated again and that was in 2019,"

Jade said, "Tori loves you, you have been there for you every step of the way," Andre said, "Honestly, I'm not that sure about that, the last date we had," Jade said, "What happened?" Andre said, "We went to her place, we were making out, and my left hand went up her dress a bit and the next thing I know she grabbed my hand violently and I was in extreme pain," Jade said, "What happened?" 

Andre said, "I backed away and she apologized and offered to take me to the hospital but I declined, kissed her goodbye and left," Jade said, "Did she do any damage?" Andre said as he was showing off his hand brace, "She sprained my wrist, I tried to tough it out but it hurt a lot and I went to the hospital and it was a sprain," Jade said, "Should have known better Andre," Andre said, "I know, I should have learned what happened with Kevin aka the dirtbag he was seeing but things were going great and well things happened. It wasn't like we never had sex before," Jade said, "I know, I'm guessing she never got over it and more than likely never will but give her a chance and she'll get you a chance and like you said, you guys had sex before. It's not uncharted waters for you guys," 

Andre said, "You're giving me tips on the same girl you loved as well," Jade said, "I know it's odd but if I had to lose out Tori to someone, I would pick you. You are a great guy, Andre Harris," They hugged and heard a knock at the door and it was Tori. 

Jade said, "Fuck, Dumb and Dumber were supposed to give me a heads up when Tori shows up,"   Andre said, "Maybe she pulled rank on them since they were LAPD and Rountree is probably scared of Tori and possibly Deeks as well. I'm guessing you want to talk to Tori alone?" Jade said, "Please," Andre said, "Good Luck," as he left, said hi to Tori, and hugged her and before he left Tori said, "Sorry, about your hand," Andre said, "It's OK,"  Tori said, "No it isn't, I should have trusted more," Andre said, "Hey, I understand and what happened happened," Tori said, "Let me make it up to you after this case," Andre said, "Like Dinner?" Tori said, "I would like that," and Andre left. 

Jade said as they were alone, "What do you know about our talk?"  Tori said, "I know enough, next time don't have a private talk in the recording booth. Music might not be a part of my life anymore but I still know a few things and I do visit here quite often," Jade said, "For what it's worth, I'm sorry what happened with you and that asshole. He deserved what he got. However, Andre isn't that guy. He loves you and always has and if he does become that guy, I'll kill him and bury him in the fucking desert," Tori said, "I know you would," Jade said, "You do know of our plans with the convoys?" Tori said, "I do though unsure what you guys plan to do for the second route," Jade said, "Commander Jones of the CHP is still working on it and a few plans for the second route. I heard you busted two guys from our side," 

Tori said, "Yeah, Callen and Sam are interrogating them now," Jade said, "Maybe they should find a place outside the station like me," Tori said, "Thanks for the Intel and your advice but I got to get going," Jade said, "Wait I ordered lunch here via Postmates from a sandwich shop and before you asked I got your favorite sub thanks to Andre. Plus don't you want to have lunch with Deeks and Rountree? Well Rountree?" Tori said, "OK," Jade said, "Also, do you want to talk about what happened with that guy?" Tori said, "Maybe later down the line but not now. Also, that uniform doesn't do it for you Jade," Jade said, "Fuck you Vega," Tori and Jade left and have lunch with Andre, Rountree, and Deeks.

Later that evening, Jones, Craig, and Sean later debate if they should have two convoys on the road at the same time. Sean later came up with the idea to have one convoy on the road and have the second convoy in the air via helicopters. Both Jones and Craig agreed with the plan if they could have the helicopter's plan in the port.
