(Ch 9, WWA) Bye friend + tents

Guys I'm back from my LOONG absence! I guess you could say I was on hiatus?... Anyways, something about Gummygoo/Budwood... I'm not exactly good(?) at speaking in his "accent" or in his way, so you'll probably see me making him a bit tougher than normal or something. Besides that, I hope you continue enjoying this story after my long absence.

Wait, that's Gummygoo? Gasped Gangle. But... he looks so different!

Yeaahh, lots of things seem to be looking different now for some odd reason. Jax scratched his back with Zooble's arm. Again. Which is pretty weird of Caine, but then again, everything about him is weird so... he shrugged.

Dude, stop using my arm as your back scratcher-... Zooble's antennas twitched in annoyance. Give it back already.

How about naahh. Jax grinned his iconic grin, annoying Zooble even more.

So, Gum-.. sorry, uh, what was your new name again? Pomni asked.

I go by Budwood now, but if that name is difficult for you to remember, I suppose you can call me Gummygoo. Budwood smiled.

I think I'll try to remember to call you Budwood...if the name was assigned to you,  might as well use it! Anyways, come sit with us. Pomni said, motioning over to the logs where they all would sit and talk.

Ah... Budwood shifted awkwardly, thinking of what to tell Pomni. Sorry bud, but I can't. I gotta go with the rest of my people, they're waiting for me back at camp.

... So you're not the only one here? Asked Ragatha. That's... I don't know why I am surprised.

Budwood chuckled. Aye, my family is the same I had last time back in the candy kingdom. This time my mother joined us and  ooh goodness, she is quite a handful, always concerned for us. He laughed.

Pomni giggled. Well then, we wouldn't want to concern her again, do we? You should probably... go back...

Pomni was hesitant while saying that. She didn't want Budwood, her old friend, to leave again. What if it's a long time before they see each other again? Next time, would she have the same luck she had this time of Budwood remembering her?

Budwood noticed her change in expression, and was silent as he thought of how to comfort her. Hey, Poms, don't worry about me kiddo. I promise I'll be back, I have this deep feeling I will. And us NPCs, we don't really have feelings, so I'm guessing it's been programmed that I am coming back.

...really? Pomni asked, tears wanting to swell up. W-Well... Do your feelings tell you that you're gonna appear in an adventure soon?..

Budwood smiled at her, delighted that she wanted to see him again. Very soon, less than two months for sure. Your time, of course. 

Pomni hugged Budwood, and Budwood hugged her back. I wish you a safe trip back to your camp, especially since it is now dark... Tears rolled down her face as Budwood caressed her head. He reminded her of Ragatha, who would always comfort her in the same way.

Thinking about Ragatha made her notice that she had put her hand on Pomni's arm. Ragatha motioned for her to let go. Pomni let go of Budwood and backed away, Ragatha's hand still on her shoulder. Pomni stared up at Budwood as he smiled.

He cleared his throat before speaking. I suppose I should get going now. I will see you soon, friend. Budwood patted her head.

Pomni waved goodbye as Budwood walked away, holding a lantern to guide his path.
