Desmond screamed out to her, though it quickly became muffled and cut out by a loud, high-pitched ringing sound, which prompted her to place her hands over her ears in desperation.

Elyse then started to panic, stumbling forward with her eyes closed, leading her to trip over her own feet onto the deck, all while the boat continued to shake vigorously.

Suddenly, everything was quiet. The boat was still, she could hear the gentle sound of the ocean beneath them again. She slowly opened her eyes and saw what had to be the most beautiful sunset she'd ever seen, the way its orange and red hue painted the water that surrounded them was truly breathtaking.
She then became confused, convinced that there was no way she'd slept an entire day, she didn't even feel like she'd slept through the night fully.

"Are you alright?"

Desmond approached her now, snapping her out of the trance the sunset had put her in, and causing her to realize she was still on her hands and knees on the ground.

"Yes I- I'm fine... What the hell just happened?"

She asked him in utter confusion while he helped her up from the ground. The look on his face told her he was just as confused as she was.

"I dunno. I just know I was up here, sailin the early mornin, and the compass started going haywire, then all the electronics started goin crazy too."

He explained, gesturing toward the area in front of them with the wheel and little gadgets all along it, which seemed to be completely normal now. She scanned the area for a moment before her eyes landed on a little clock in the corner.

"1800, is that military time?"

She asked him, remembering his brief mention of his time in the military, when they'd spoken in the hatch.

"Aye. That's six pm.."

He trailed off, scratching his head in confusion before quickly picking up the map and examining it.

"Six?! PM? That can't be possible. Did I really sleep that long?"

She asked him, feeling absolutely flabbergasted now while she stared back at the fading sunset before them.

Desmond continued looking back and forth between the map, and something between the clock and the wheel in front of them, in disbelief before he finally spoke again.

"Whatever just happened, it either completely destroyed our system, or moved us through time."

He said in disbelief, looking at her like a mad man while he clenched the map firmly in his hand.

"What do you mean 'moved us through time'!?"

She exclaimed, starting to wonder if the lack of sleep was getting to Desmond now, maybe it had gotten to her too.

"These coordinates show where we should end up, ya?"

He told her, pointing at some coordinates on the map while he explained frantically.

"It's supposed to take 10 days for us to get there and up until now, it's been correct based on our coordinates the boat calculates, right here."

He continued, pointing at the electronic numbers just above the clock in front of them.

"Now it's sayin 6pm, when a few moments ago I was up at 4am sailin. And better yet, these coordinates we're supposedly at now, will put us in Scotland in about 14 bloody hours!"

He exclaimed, sounding like he was losing his sanity while he soaked in the reality of his words. He stared up at the sunset before them in awe, silently awaiting Elyse's response.
