No Way!

Milk PoV

This can't be happening the second time. Love and Ciize are missing again. I remember clearly that Love said the place, a secret underground bunker hidden beneath the ruins of the old city, had a place to hide in an emergency. Still, I am curious to know if both of them were there. I need to be fast simultaneously because there's no water and food when they are locked in the room. They might not die as zombies, but without both supplies, they will die of hunger and thirst. This needs to act as fast as it can be. I don't care if anyone is tired or not.

As I sought out Emi, I found her already preparing for the mission. Her unwavering determination and resourcefulness, which I've always admired, were on display. Her resilience is a beacon of hope in our small, struggling community.

"Milk, before we embark, I must brief you on the location. I've pinpointed where they are, but we must move swiftly. The ravenous zombies are a constant threat, and we can't risk them getting to Love and Ciize." Emi's words hit me with the harsh reality. These transformed zombies, mindless and driven by insatiable hunger, pose a grave danger. Even if Love and Ciize are immune, they could still be devoured.

"I know what you're talking about. So, who are we bringing to help today?" Milk asked, and then she saw Namtan and View running through.

"We can help, then Earn, Tu and Ford are okay to help. June, Film, Bonnie, Prim will stay here to guard the place." Namtan said, and Milk nodded. She knows Namtan and View are good enough at fighting. When she first saw them, they were fighting off all the zombies.

Using our upgraded bus, Emi helped during our stay in the abandoned apartment, and we embarked on the location. Emi knows about the secret underground Love was talking about, but to go there, hundreds of zombies or maybe thousands will be there. To avoid most of the zombies, we need to be really quiet. Emi suggested that to be blended with all the zombies, it is better to have their intestines or blood around our clothes. She got a couple of killed zombies and has it prepared for all of us going.

"We are going to get them; we can do it, Milk", Earn said, making me smile. This small community I had was everything I needed right now. When the apocalypse happened, we all lost our family members to the outbreak. We only had ourselves to care for, and they have been my happiness. The way they cared for Love during her recovery because I was not around was everything I needed in this community. We are, at one point, very open to same-gender relationships. Ford was the only guy in the community, but he's super gay. He has been hanging out closely with Earn and Ciize occasionally. I smiled, thinking about the small community I had when Emi stopped the bus.

"We are here, Milk; prepare to get all that dirty blood and intestines of the zombies to our faces and clothes. Everyone, do this too, and we will move slowly inside. It is not that far from here." I nodded and started prepping myself for this mission. We have the antidote in our bodies, so the zombies are more attracted to us, hence why all this dirty blood is all over us. Remembering the foul smell it had. Emi brought a little with her. Once we find Love and Ciize, they must apply the same thing to get out.

Slowly, we walked down the pathway, and I saw a couple of zombies being slashed away. That must be their work just now. Emi showed a hand signal to follow her to where Love and Ciize might be. I wonder if they are really there, but Emi said that Love told her clearly that if anything happens, find her or anybody else there. Looking around the place, I felt sad seeing Love had been there for almost a year before I found her, but this was not for today. Today, I'm going to make sure Love and Ciize is safe!

"Shhh, Milk here. You see the door that shuts the lock there. Behind there is the secret bunker, and you see how many zombies there are. We are lucky enough not to encounter any of them while coming here. I think the blood helped us blend in." Emi said to me, and I nodded. In whispering mode, I replied back to her.

"I got a plan to avoid many zombies' attacks since we are almost blending with the zombies. I suggest we go slowly and kill one by one until we get through the door. I know it is a lot, but they wouldn't notice without much noise. But in case they notice, be ready to go all out!" Emi and others nodded, agreeing to my plan, and slowly, we went there and killed each zombie quietly.

But not to my realization, one of the zombies saw what we were doing, and our movement was way faster than theirs, so I saw that it was signalling something to the herd of zombies to be aware.

"Hmmm, so they can communicate; this is a new finding!" I told myself.

"Here goes nothing; attack will full force all!" Emi directed, and we all start killing them like in The Matrix. The only thing that shuts them down is by attacking their brain. We were initially struggling, but after about 15 minutes, we got on track and cleared the zone.

Slowly, I went to the door, trying to open the door, hoping Love would be there. The moment I opened the door, I heard a scream coming to me.

"Ciize now!! Attack!!" Shit, they are attacking me, thinking I am the zombie!

"Stop! It's me, Milk!" I shouted quickly, and Ciize froze immediately. Then I heard the sweet voice I'd been searching for the past 2 hours.

"Milk......... Milk!" Love came and hugged me immediately. I hugged back, already missing her senses.

"Lovebirds, we need to be fast. You guys are shouting, and I know more is about to come here. Here! Take this blood and smudge all over both of you and let's get out..." Emi said quickly.

Doing all she said while moving quickly, we heard a storm of stampede coming our way. Oh shit! Will we survive this?!
