Wake Up!

Love PoV

"Arghhhh!!!" I can't think anymore, and I do not see Milk anymore. What's happening to me? This was not as painful as before. Will I change to a complete zombie soon?!! No, this could not be the end.

I was struggling with pain when I saw Milk and the other two people come in. If I'm not mistaken, that's View and Namtan, but I do not know which. Milk went near the bar grill where I was, but her smell of blood was powerful, and I could not stand it. I tried to go away, but I couldn't. I wanted her blood; I had the urge to bite her arm. Why am I like this?

"Hey baby, I am here, Love. I know you are wondering what will happen, but I want you to know that I will do all I can to save you, us, and the world. Be strong, baby! Thîi rák, Chan rak khun na..." Milk's voice was so soft to hear, but why did she sound so sad, and why did I want her blood so bad?

"Nooo... don't come in Milk!" That's what I said when I saw Milk come into my room. I can't stand her smell; I will bite her! I don't want that to happen!

I am not sure what happened next, but the moment I realized, I had a sharp pain near my head. It was so bad that I do not know what happened. I saw Milk's arm was full of blood, and I knew I had bitten her.

"What have I done? Not Milk...." The pain is getting worse by the second, and I don't think I can stand this. The last thing I heard was........

"Thii rak, Chan rak khun na........" and I answered slowly by myself.

"Chan rak khun na.........." and the world goes blank.

===========================I woke up suddenly sweating, but I didn't feel the pain anymore. I felt hungry for food and wanted to drink water! I tried to wake up, but it felt so hard as if I had been sleeping for days.

"Hey... hey there... slowly okay... you wake up at last!" Someone was saying something to me, but I had no idea who they were. There were a couple of people in the room, and I felt a bit scared.

"Hey, don't be scared. I'm Ciize. Besides me is Earn. The one talking to you just now is June. Besides her is Film. We were here with Milk before you came here." I took a glass of water and started to drink it, but I felt weird. Why are they not scared of me? I am a half-zombie, as far as I can remember.

I was about to say something when another couple of people came into the room smiling.

"Hey, you're up! I'm Emi. This is my girlfriend, Bonnie, and we bought you food! I know you're hungry. We scavenged for food, found Ford and Tu, and decided to bring them back." Oh, so this is Emi, the one who helped with the door grill last time.

"Hi, I'm Ford. Thank you for taking me in," Ford says, looking at me.

"Hi, I'm Tu... I will work hard with you guys," Tu said, smiling, and I smiled back.

"....I...I can.... talk....." I was surprised my voice came out!

"Of course you can, silly!" June said, smiling at me.

"Milk managed to bring you back to life. Her blood saved you, and thanks to her, we got the correct antidote for this pandemic!" Ciize explained, happy with what Milk had achieved. So, I am a human now? I felt excited that I had managed to fight the virus. But then I realized there's no Milk, View, and Namtan.

"Where's Milk? Where is she? Is she in the Lab?" I started asking, wanting to meet my soulmate as soon as possible. Suddenly, the room became quiet. Everyone looked so sad.

"Where is she?!! Why are you guys quiet? Tell me, please...." I begged them, and Film opened her mouth.

"She's in the next room, still not waking up. There is no symptom of her being a zombie after being bitten by you, but then I think her body is fighting the virus... She will have seizures from time to time, but so far, she is still sleeping..." My tears dropped instantly. My Thii rak sacrifices her own body to make sure I'm safe.

"Can you please bring me next to her, please? I want to take care of her until she wakes up..." I pleaded, and Earn helped me walk to her room. The Milk looked so pale lying on the bed, but she was always the most beautiful woman I had ever met.

"Hey Love, how about you eat first, take a hot shower, and then you can take care of Milk? It would help if you had the energy. Bonnie will get everything ready for you. We got some extra clothes for you to change too..." Emi said seriously, and I nodded helplessly. It's true; I'm super hungry and need a shower, but I also want to be beside Milk.

"Thii rak, wait for me na... I will come back, I promised..." I kissed her forehead and followed Bonnie to where I needed to be. As I heard Earn tell Emi that the barricade needs fixing, others are back to their task.

While Bonnie and Tu were walking with me, they just smiled sadly.

"Don't worry, Love. Milk is a strong person. We wouldn't find this place if it was not for her. She was strong in searching for an antidote for you. She will wake up soon. Be tough, okay?" Tu didn't understand things much, but she smiled, and I nodded slowly. This is my turn to be strong for Milk, and I will do my best to make sure she comes back to me.

With everything I've got, I will contribute to this small community that Milk is building and ensure that we are happy like before.
