The four of us get into a big truck and hit the road. It seems that Max really likes me because he chooses to lean his head on me and stay like that the whole ride.
The scenery starts changing after a while. We each passing minute, we see fewer houses and more trees. Of course Changbin has great music playing in the car. With some friendly bickering between him and Chan, we slowly sail through the nature, getting farther and farther from the city.
Our first stop is a small restaurant, owned by a local family for generations. We have an early dinner, a delicious meal made with local produce, and then we move to the only shop in the area to buy food for the week. Dog food too.
It starts getting darker and, by the time we turn off the road to approach our destination, there are no more houses or road signs. There's nothing. We literally are at the end of the world.

- This is not a cabin!!
That's the first sentence coming out of my mouth.
There is indeed one house by the lake, but then there is a whole other house, even bigger, like an extension of the first one with two floors. There is a huge terrace, a patio, a fire pit, even boats and a bridge extending into the water. And Changbin proudly smiles.- It's a bit bigger in size, yeah. But we still call it a cabin.
- A bit bigger??? This can accommodate all my friends and their friends and family too. Compared to this, I live in a shoe box.
- Twenty people capacity.
- Whoaa... and it's far from other houses, you have a total privacy.
- That's how it should be if you want to see the wildlife.
- Hm. Wild life, you say? How wild are we talking about?
- Don't worry, you have Max with you and he will alert you if anything comes near. Even if it's just a bunny. Or a squirrel. Especially a squirrel.
I quickly take a walk around the house and down to the lake then back to the patio, and of course Max never leaves my side. I think we bonded in that truck, or maybe he can sense that I'm totally lost in this surrounding. That I might need help if we see the "wildlife".
The city jungle is not a problem for me. I can deal with aggressive tattoo fanatics, I know how to enter a night club without paying, where the parking security cameras are, things like that. But nature - I know nothing about it. As I stand by the lake to take it all in, Changbin comes up beside me.
- This view is something else isn't it?
- It's amazing. I might sleep out here just to see the sunrise.
- Ahem, sun rises over there, on the other side, which means you won't see the sun until eleven o'clock.
- I knew that.
- Of course you did. - he gives me a nice pat on the back and smiles. - Also, did you know that Chan and I have been best friends for eight years, and he never ever brought anyone here? You must be special to him.
- Or maybe he changed.
- What I'm trying to say is... he's not some playboy who sleeps around, or someone who falls in love once a month. He's a good guy, loyal, honest, even when he shouldn't be honest. I hope you know that.
I just nod, kind of liking what I hear.
- Well, Hyunjin, I'll go back to my home now. Enjoy your time here, and I'll see you in a week.
He then proceeds to say something to Max who, I swear, understands everything. I don't want to eavesdrop but I catch something like:
-... and take care of Chan hyung, and Hyunjin, the city boy. He doesn't know anything about the life in forest.
Max and I watch as Changbin enters his truck and drives away. It is so dark outside and we can't see anything in the forest any more, so we decide to enter the house and maybe find a bed for the night.
Max leads me to the large central room with the fireplace. Chan has already brought our bags inside, started a fire, and unloaded groceries. His big smile is infectious and I have to smile back at his energy.- Come here, I'll show you where everything is. This is clearly the living room, over there is a kitchen, that's a small bathroom. Upstairs are bedrooms and more bathrooms.
- This is definitely not what I expected.
- You like it? - he asks me and we both turn around to take a good look.
- I love it! I totally get it why you come here to recharge. I don't even know where to look first. This is going to be great.
Chan comes up behind me, and carefully, very slowly, slides his arms around me.
It's just a back hug, I've had those before. Many times. But this is the closest Chan and I have been so far, and my whole body reacts to it. Little electric sparks shoot everywhere, and I sigh at the feeling.- I'm glad you like it, Hyun. You can choose your room. My room is the one up there, the first on the right. I hope you choose that one.
He knows that I can't wait to be in his bed, but he says that anyway, and it only makes him more attractive. Smooth move.
- I'll sleep in your bed, you know that. - some deep voice comes out of me.
He hums approvingly. With another smooth move, he places a soft kiss on my neck, and I go through something I can only describe as a tiny orgasm. We haven't started anything yet, and I'm already cooked, done, ready for whatever he wants.
He whispers contently:- That's good because I need you in my bed. I've wanted you since the first moment I saw you, in that hotel bar.
I love his arrogant sexy style.

Oh how much I'd enjoy a week
up in the mountains.
Fresh, cool air,
the sounds of nature,
no morning alarm...
