Mirn’s POV

“Gavie!” I waved my hand when I saw him running back to the Ferrari garage where I was staying after their practice for the Spanish Grand Prix.

He smiled and was about to wave back when he was blocked by a group of tall and sexy girls who seemed to be models. Kanina ko pa sila nakikita na naghihintay kay Gavion at sa iba pang drivers. Sila pa nga ang may pinakamalakas na cheer kanina.

Tumingin sa akin si Gavion kaso hinatak siya nang isang babae. I could see that he was a bit irritated as the girl started to get clingy while asking for photos but he still chose to smile. Sakto naman na dumating na si Marcus tapos lumapit sa akin kaya natuon na ang atensyon ko sa kanya.

“Hey, got my photos?” He leaned closer to me as he looked at my camera.

“Yeah. Of course,” sagot ko kay Marcus saka pinakita sa kaniya ang mga kuha ko. “Look, here! Ang gwapo mo rito.” Pinakita ko ang paborito kong shots niya ngayong araw.

He pressed his lips as he caressed his chin. “Dyan lang? What about right now?” He looked at me and winked.

I rolled my eyes then he laughed. “Hmm, seems like hindi mo na ako crush ha.”

“Uy, crush pa rin kita!” I confessed. There is no point in denying because he was aware and was so cool about it.

Madalas nga rin niyang sabihin na crush niya rin ako tapos mag-aasaran na lang kami at tatawa. It was never awkward between us. Masasabi ko rin na healthy crush na lang talaga ang mayroon ako kay Marcus.

We have gotten close since I started staying with their team three months ago. I was supposed to join the F1 trainee photographers team, but I heard about the job opening to be one of the official photographers for Ferrari.

Of course, I grabbed the opportunity. I didn't expect to be chosen. I trained for two months, covering Ferrari junior drivers racing in F3 and F2.

Now, I was finally given the chance to cover F1. There are three of us chosen then one senior photographer who is also our team leader. We need to manage the team’s social media and their promotional shoots, including documentaries.

One of the perks I really enjoy is that I get to travel with the team! This means I always get to see Gavion—which is something I never even considered before.

Inis na inis pa nga ako kay Gavion years ago. I was all about Marcus. The younger Mirn would probably be jumping with happiness because Marcus finally noticed me. But the Mirn right now is quietly screaming Gavion’s name.

Surely, it’s no longer an infatuation. Ni hindi ko nga maamin na gusto ko siya. Hindi ko rin sigurado kung gusto niya ba ako o mabait lang talaga siya sa akin. Bahala na! Ayoko na rin munang isipin.

I just want to focus on my career. Bonus na lang na kasama ko si Gavion.

“What about this?” Kausap ko pa rin si Marcus dahil pumipili kami ng mga photo na ilalagay niya sa social media. “Ang gwapo mo rin dito.”

“Okay. Let’s include that. Send it to me later,” nakangiting sabi niya. “By the way, are you free around 7 in the evening? The group will have a night out. Just a few drinks, you know…”

“Hmm, not sure. What about the other junior photographers? Are they also invited?” I asked.

“Yes, they are. Why? Is something wrong?”

I shook my head. “Nothing. I just don’t want to create an issue. They might think that I am receiving special treatment because I know you and Gavion.”
