Months passed and Jungwon and Jay were still together, having no intentions of liking someone else at all. Since their first date, their connection had only grown stronger with every passing day. They had been going on numerous dates, both adventurous and cosy ones, exploring new places together and creating unforgettable memories. From hiking through scenic trails to binge-watching their favourite TV shows snuggled up on the couch, they found joy in the simplest things. Their shared interests in music, food, and travelling made their time together even more delightful. With laughter that filled the air whenever they were around each other, it was evident that they had developed a deep sense of camaraderie. Their relaxed and easygoing nature allowed them to be true to themselves in their relationship without any pressure or expectations.
"Heeseung Hyung, tell Ni-ki to give it back!" Jake whined as Ni-ki stood on a bench, his arms raised with Jake's soccer ball in his hands. "Ni-ki, give it back!" Heeseung shot the younger a stern look but Ni-ki just stuck his tongue out at him before jumping off the bench and running away. Heeseung sighed and all six of them watched Niki dart across the field. "Catch me if you can!" Jungwon sighed as Ni-ki's snickers and Jake's yells filled the space and Jay cackled, clearly finding amusement in the scene. Jungwon slapped Jay's chest as he pushed the older to join Sunghoon and Heeseung, who were trying to stop the commotion. It was a rare sight to see Jake and Ni-ki bicker and it felt very different. A while passed and then Ni-ki was at chokehold as Jay held him against his body.
Heeseung flicked his head and handed the ball back to its actual owner. "Thanks, Hyung!" And somehow, Heeseung's heart fluttered at the way Jake smiled while Sunghoon frowned. Jay and Ni-ki who had witnessed it all fell silent. "I- We should go, right Ni-ki?" Ni-ki, still struggling to breathe, nodded his head as Jay dragged him back to the bleachers with his arms still around Ni-ki's neck. "That's enough." Sunoo glared at Jay while helping Ni-ki out of Jay's hold and Jungwon kicked the older's foot. "You didn't have to be so harsh!" Jungwon scolded Jay but the older only rolled his eyes. "Whatever." Jay then walked away and Sunoo and Ni-ki joined the older who had already started warming up for a match. Jungwon followed Jay and silently sat beside him.
"Hi." Jay smiled and ruffled the younger's hair as Jungwon chuckled softly. "Are you not going to play?" Jay shook his head, "Coach made me run laps as a punishment for reaching practice late." Jungwon laughed at Jay's misery and then shrugged, "I'll stay here with you then." Jay turned towards him, "Are you sure?" Jungwon nodded as he slipped his small hand into Jay's. The older smiled and then intertwined their fingers. Jungwon couldn't help but move closer to Jay, the older grinned and wrapped an arm around Jungwon's shoulders, who had already snuggled into Jay's chest. "I think I love you too, Won." Jungwon's eyes widened.
"You should stop reading my mind, Hyung!"
"I can't help it!"
The End.
