new project

2 days later..

WIN'S POV

It's the beginning of the month. Me and my team has got a new project and the deadline is pretty close.We've got 4-5 days to work on it.

Yesterday night I worked till 4 a.m. and slept for an hour or two just to clear my head.

It was 6:40 a.m. when I finally decided to wake up. I need atleast 2-3 alarms to wake up and today I needed even more. It took me five alarms to wake up.

I was already late...I took a quick shower and didn't even get the time to do my breakfast. Though I had a cup of coffee at 3:30 am last night.

I reached at 7:20 a.m and saw Bright sir getting out of his car as well. He's been working on the same project with us.

I smiled and took some steps towards him but I felt dizzy all of a sudden and lose my balance. He came running towards me and held me.

"Are you okay!?" He said.

"Yes..I am" I replied while trying to open my eyes.

I think it was because I didn't eat something in the morning and I also slept for a while.

"Are you sure? We can go to the hospital if you are not okay!" He said.

"Don't worry! It's just I didn't eat something in the morning." I laughed.

"What!? You haven't eat something yet? What is wrong with you!"

"It's just-" before I could say something he continued.

"Come with me!" He held my hand and took me to the cafeteria.

"Sit here, I will be right back" He made me sit on a chair and went to the counter.

He came after some time with a bowl of salad and some mint tea. And I couldn't be much happier! This is my favourite breakfast combo of all time. The mint tea is a nice way to start my day with a soothing drink and a bowl of vegetable salad can provide some good nutrients.

I don't like to eat something heavy in the morning. I prefer something light and refreshing instead.
I couldn't help but smile at the food coming towards me.

"Eat it, I will sit and accompany you here." He said with a straight face.

"Thankyou so much sir. I love having a healthy breakfast like this." I replied with a big smile.

"I know" He said with a smile.

"What?"

"Eh, so why you skipped your breakfast today and you are looking like you haven't get a good sleep from days." He said.

"Actually I was working late last night and I slept just for an hour or two and I was too late to have something in the morning" I scratched the back of my head.

"Don't! Work will be done..but don't skip your meals! Got it?"

He was sounding mad for some reason.

"Yeah sure" I replied.

"You won't have any?" I asked.

"I had breakfast before coming. I don't skip meals because of work" He rolled his eyes.

"You are taunting me!" I said with an annoyed expression and he laughed in response.

"You are clumsy!" He said and took a handkerchief from his pocket and cleaned my face.

This sudden action of him made my heart skip a beat for some reason.

He kept his handkerchief back in his pocket and smiled at me. I haven't seen him smiling much but I must say that he got a beautiful smile.

"If you are done..can we go now?"

"Yeah sure" I responded.

On our way back to our desks I apologised him for causing trouble and he just said "it's fine" in return.

BRIGHT'S POV

Even I work till late some times but I don't promote foregoing meals.

I hope I didn't cross any line. I still remember seeing him having this vegetable salad and mint tea alot in our highschool's canteen and I knew that he will like it.

His smile when I got him the salad was everything.

We made our way to our respectful desks and I reminded him before leaving "Don't skip your meals again!" And he nodded with a smile in response.

I can understand though..this project is really important for our company. The stress is acceptable but not what he did.

*Some days later*

Me and the entire team is working day and night for this project and today is the day.

The presentation is at 12 p.m. and it's 10 am right now.

I was checking all the slides and graphs again that we have to present.

I have high expectations as I have seen everyone giving their hundred percent to this. If we succeed..I am definitely going to throw a party to celebrate the success!

I came out of my cabin and clapped twice to make everyone notice my presence.

"It's a big day today! I have faith in you guys. I know that we will succeed! If we succeed..party is on mee!" I said.

Everyone clapped and some even shouted in return.

I am not that strict kind of a boss. I treat all of them like a family. I just have to act cold sometimes when the situation asks for.

AUTHOR'S POV

It was 11:40 am. Everyone was preparing for the meeting. Bright was in the meeting room going through all the slides that has to be shown.

After everyone was seated. Bright introduced himself and gave an overview of the project. He talked about the goals and stated its objectives.

Boom continued by talking about the results and future implications of the project. He used graphs,chats and slides to do the same.

The meeting was 3 hours long and some of them had conflicting thoughts but at the end everything was resolved.

Everything went well as Bright expected and they got the agreement from the opposing party!

It was the time to organise a party to appreciate everyone who worked day and night for this project and also the ones who skipped their meals for it.
