The siblings walked through the forest, stopping a few times to catch their breaths. "Nezuko, look at the flowers.." Tanjiro said as he pointed to the colorful feild of daises, lilys, roses, and so many more.
The demon tailing them unlucky stepped on a small twig, causing a sharp snap sound to echoe through the forest. "Big brother..." nezuko whispered cautiously. Tanjiro nodded, grabbing his sword of out his hip while nezuko did the same.
"Do you think it's the demon we're supposed to kill?" He asked. Nezuko thought for a moment before shaking her head. "I don't think so, the master said it only stayed in the village.". The demon lurking through the bushes seemed to be aware that the siblings had heard him. So instead of attacking it decieded to fall back and wait for another opportunity.
The siblings stood there, guarded and ready if a rabid monster would lunge out of nowhere. But nothing ever came. Nezuko exhaled slowly, focusing on the energy around her. "Do you feel something..?" "No..I think it's gone.." .
Tanjiro relaxed his grip on his sword, "Phew..." he sighed rubbing the back of his neck.
Another hour of them walking eventually passed, by then it was already morning and they ended up finally arriving at the village. It was beautiful, the sun reflected off of the water making it look as if some majic had been cast over it. The pathways were clean despite them looking old. The river seemed clean, crystal clear. The tree's were tall and the greenest both siblings have ever seen. Nezuko gasped in amazment, grabbing the sleeve of her older brother and pointing to the village "big brother isn't it lovely?!" She beamed.

Tanjiro couldn't help but agree, before they could get lost in admiration for the scenery tanjiro quickly snapped back into what they came here in the first place for. He sighed, "nezuko, remember what we're here for." He reminded her sternly. She apologized and quickly regained her composure.
"Sorry, beautiful scenery always gets me.." she admitted fiddling with her hands nervously. I patted her head softly, "it's alright, I get it. But we have a job to do"
She nodded enthusiastically.
Eventually night rolled around, due to the seclusion of the village you could see the stars... tanjiro lifted his head admiring the sight.
Though nezuko was the one to snap him out of it this time. "Stay focused" she warned glaring at sudden quietness in the village.
She listened, closing her eyes to focus before she rapidly opened them again. "Near the river bank. I heard rapid splashing...like someone struggling." She stated before taking out her sword and running towards the river bank.
