Soon enough, we ran into Nazis. This terrified me. In school I had always learned about them and what they did to people. Concentration camps....gas chambers...ripping families apart. All of it sent shivers down my spine, and now I was in the middle of it. The Doctor smiled at the three burly soldiers. "Ello!" He greeted them like old friends.

The soldiers got in a line. The tallest in the middle spoke up in a firm tone of voice. "State your name, rank, and your intention please." I looked at the Doctor for this answer. "Doctor....Doctor....fun." He had to think about the second question for a second or two but the others he had no trouble with. I smiled at his last answer. Fun? Is this what he considered fun?

The Nazis nodded and turned around in sync. "Follow us." The one who had spoken before said. They marched on and we followed swiftly behind them. As we got deeper into Nazi territory I grabbed the Doctor's arm protectively. He flinched at first. I looked up towards him with longing eyes. I hoped this was okay, maybe he had a wife or something. All he did was smile down at me and pull me tighter to him. His warmth made me smile as I clung to him.

The Nazis led us to a medical tent. As I looked around in horror, the Doctor grabbed my shoulder and whiped me around. "Best not if you look around." He gave me a sad look. The time lord knew what happened in this time period and so did I. It was a terrible time in history. He grabbed my hand an intertwined our fingers, leading me to a room with a nurse.

The nurse was around 30 or so with blonde hair and blue eyes. No shock there. I smiled at her. She returned a soft smile towards the two of us. "Hello. I'm Nancy. I'll just check you two over first and then give you a tent to sleep in. In the morning is when Hitler will see you." I shivered with fear but, gave a slight nod. The Doctor did the same. Quickly the nurse just checked us for any disease and asked us about our beliefs and religion. I let the Doctor speak, not wanting to start anything.

It only took a few minutes before we were led to a tent. It was smaller than the medical one with two cots and a candle lit lamp. I smiled. "It's perfect." Nancy waved goodbye and left. I turned around to the Doctor. He was taking off his trench coat and then his jacket. He undid his tie and unnoticed a few buttons on his shirt to reveal a bit of his chest. I blushed a bit and removed my own hat and jacket. He didn't seem to mind the situation.

The Doctor looked around. "Hmm. It'll probably get pretty cold during the night." For some reason I got the feeling he was hinting at something. My face flushed even brighter. "If you wanted you could sleep with me...." I offered flirtatiously. The Doctor raised an eyebrow as we both climbed into a single cot. The Doctor blew out the lamp an I snuggled into his chest. Soon I was lulled to sleep by the sound of his beating hearts.
