After clearing my throat and gathering my courage I opened my mouth to speak. The Doctor turned around to look at me, as if he already knew what was going to happen.
"Doctor." I restated once again, "Why do you do it?" He raised an eyebrow. "Why do I do what?" "Why do you always push me away?" My question hung in the air. The Doctor looked at me dumbfounded. Nobody had ever gotten the courage to ask him most likely. Here we are. Me asking this question. Hopefully I hadn't ruined everything. I have a tendency to do that.
The Doctor stepped closer to me. He looked down at me with a serious look on his face. I returned his gaze with a more innocent facial expression. "I want the truth Doctor. Why. Why do you always push me away. You can't run forever. I care about you and don't act like I can't see what's wrong. Something is bothering you and I can tell. You just shoot me a look with those big sad eyes-" He took another step closer, leaving me silent. There was no space left between us.
"I am a coward. I'm always running. Running away from my past, my present, and my future. It's what I do. I stole a TARDIS and now I'm running through all of space and time." The Doctor looked down at me. All the emotion drained from his face. The only thing I did was look back up at him, a smirk tugging at the corners of my lips. "Well guess what?"
"What?" He asked curiously. "I stole a time lord and now we're running through all of space and time." He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me towards him and touching his lips to mine.
