Valerie took a minute to process the words the entity in her head had just spoke, taking in her surroundings with wide, confused eyes.

The amphibia take-over was supposed to happen when you were back.

so, what are you saying?

I'm SAYING that something's really wrong.

"what happened to this place..?" Anne muttered from next to the brunette who was caught up in the endless swirl of her own thoughts.

"Quick!" Hope-Pop than said, gesturing to the familiar small town below, dragging the other frogs and gesturing for the humans to follow him. "back to Wartwood!"

As the group came to a stop at the entrance of the town, they all paused. It looked... different. The statue was gone, and it just felt a lot gloomier as a whole.

There was suddenly sounds of metal rattling from next to them. The creature making the noise was a giant centipede with some kind of... collar around it's neck? and it's eyes were glowing an unusual purple color.

"oh no-"

before Valerie even finished her words, she noticed Polly launching forward and kicking the beast, effectively taking it down.

"and stay down!" Polly said proudly, making Valerie crack a smile. This kid's got reeeeeaaaal potential.

But then another one of the centipedes appeared, almost identical with the collar around it's neck and such. "Polly, look out!" Valerie said, grabbing out one of the knives from inside her shirt and twirling it in her hand, prepared to take it down and protect the others.

Before she could, however, a red laser hit it in the back of the head.

The creature growled as it fell-- before the collar around it's neck snapped, and it fell limp. However, it took no more then a couple of seconds for it to perk up and dig itself back into the ground where it came from.

It didn't take long for their saviors to unmask and reveal themselves to be the Wartwood townsfolk. But what really took Valerie by surprise is when the red armored individual turned out to be Sasha.

"I don't believe it." The blonde said, taking off her helmet and looking to the teenagers with teary eyes. "Anne? Val? is that really you? You're-You're back.."

"Sasha!"

Anne lunged herself forward, tackling her friend in a hug. Valerie paused at Sasha's presence, although it really shouldn't have surprised her that she'd be here-
