Lies [Dazai x Akutagawa]

Akutagawa was standing in front of the mirror, getting ready to take gin for shopping . Gin was asking for a  shopping date for very long time, but akutagawa couldn't find time for it until today.
Dazai had went out for some mission and wouldn't return until tomorrow. So akutagawa was left with some free time.
Akutagawa did not own much clothes. He did not feel the need to own many clothes to kill people. The only thing he looked for in a cloth is a covering that covered his scars. So he quickly got ready and waited for his sister.
His sister usually don't dress much. She was a assassin so her dress code was nothing fancy. But she likes to dress herself up well whenever she had the chance for these kind of casual outings. After 20 min she came out dressed beautifully. It made akutagawa feel kind of warm in midst of all the coldness in his heart.

"Pick one" gin said holding two dresses in front of her. Both the dresses looked very similar and akutagawa had to use all the logics his brain could afford to pick one. If he didn't pick one then gin will pester him until he does. Gin then dragged akutagawa to men's clothing section to get akutagawa a proper suit and some casuals. Akutagawa refused but gin was persistent. So he ended up picking one black suit which gin wasn't very happy about but ended up agreeing to her brother. Getting him to choose one itself was tiring enough so she chose not to argue about it.

After getting all she wanted akutagawa paid the bill and went to his sister who was waiting in the car. Since another day like this might not occur again in the foreseeable future,  gin also wanted to watch a movie with akutagawa .  Akutagawa was not a fan of movies but if his sister wants it he will agree to it. Gin got two tickets for a random animation movie. The movie was about some two kittens. Akutagawa didn't know if he liked it or not  But  his sister seemed to like it, so he just ended up watching the full movie.

When the movie ended they headed to the parking lot when they suddenly heard a loud noise. At first akutagawa didn't want to bother himself with the trouble, but, when a car came flying towards them, he had no choice but to involve himself with whatever shit it was.

"An ability user. I wonder who it is? Wait. isn't it the port mafia's rabid dog" the man responsible for the flying car said with a smirk which annoyed the hell out of akutagawa.

While akutagawa was wondering how to deal with the situation, the man suddenly disappeared. Akutagawa awakened roshomon when a knife  was about to slice his neck. The man had teleported behind akutagawa. Akutagawa managed to dodge the knife.

The man smiled before once again he vanished. Akutagawa raised his guard ready to tackle him as soon as he appeared. But what happened next made his blood run cold. The man appeared behind gin and was about to slice gin's  neck. Fortunately akutagawa was able to act quickly. With the help of roshomon he attacked the man and when he was about to kill him, dazai's image flashed in his mind, which made him shudder and the moment he hesitated a knife was plunged deep into his stomach. Akutagawa was loosing a lot of blood and his consciousness was slowly dripping away. But he was scared about his sister. What will he do if the man attacks his sister and That was what the man tried to do, when akutagawa killed the man. After that everything went blur for akutagawa. He heard gin calling out his name desparately before he passed out completely.

When he woke up, he saw bright lights flashing on him. Is this heaven? Akutagawa wondered. But then he saw a face that made him correct himself. No. Scratch that. It's the hell. The demon was right in front of him,  staring at him. While he was about to regret all his sins, the demon spoke

"Oh, you finally woke up."

When he realised he was in the hospital, he tried to sit up when two bandaged hands pushed him down.

" don't get up. Your wounds aren't completely healed." Dazai spoke.

"Where is gin?" Akutagawa asked worried.

" gin is at the training. She will return soon. You were asleep for almost 4 days. How are you feeling?"

4 days? "Im fine" akutagawa replied.

Dazai looked at akutagawa for a minute before he spoke. His expression was unreadable.

"You hesitated"

"What?" Akutagawa was puzzled.

"You hesitated before you killed him."
Dazai made himself clear.

Dazai never fails to suprise akutagawa. Akutagawa was taken aback by how much dazai knew without even being in the scene.
Akutagawa was worried that dazai was angry at him for killing the man. He knew dazai must have already planned a punishment ready for him.

"Im sorry dazai san. I couldn't follow your orders again. I killed the man. I will accept the punishment you seem fit" akutagawa said

"When I told you not to kill mindlessly, I didn't mean to get yourself killed " dazai shouted angrily.

Akutagawa didn't know why dazai was angry. Yet he decided to apologise.

" im sorry Dazai san"

Dazai seemed like he wanted to say something, but decided not to say it.

"Get rest today. Tomorrow practice at  5 am. Don't be late. "  dazai finally said and left.

Once again akutagawa was on the floor coughing up blood on the lonely warehouse.

Dazai's punches were calculated and we'll delivered. He was careful enough not to punch akutagawa on the wound, but made sure it was no less painful.

"Your ability is not just for killing people like a rabid dog. It is used for your own defence also. It can be used for many things if only you could use your head properly." Dazai said.

What does that mean? Akutagawa thought.

Then a bullet was fired towards him and everything went dark.

Akutagawa was sure that he was dead. But then he did not feel any pain. When he opened his eyes, he couldn't believe the sight before him. Roshomon has covered him and protected him from the bullet. It was the first time akutagawa has ever done that.

"Next time, I will punch you two times and shoot you five times." With that dazai left the warehouse.
