Kaia could still feel Taylor's lips lingering on hers even after they had pulled apart and Taylor stuck her head back inside.

"What the hell was that? You heard the scream, right?"

Kaia nodded, wrapping her arms around herself almost protectively. "Yeah, it sounded straight out of a horror movie!"

On the one hand she was very concerned for the wellbeing of one or potentially all of Taylor's friends back inside. On the other hand, she was very concerned for her own wellbeing because what the fuck does it mean that she was just making out with Taylor Swift?

"Shit, what do you think happened?" Taylor asked, worry evident in her voice as she climbed back inside. Kaia followed her, closing the window behind them before rushing down the hall, following the commotion.

The closer they got, though, the more it sounded like laughter.

"Fucking hell, Alana, I swear to god, you're dead to me!" Este was screaming at the top of her lungs.

Austin popped his head out of his room with Sydney, eyes barely open. "The hell is going on?"

"I don't know," Taylor replied, walking faster until she got to Este's room. They found Danielle, Selena, and Ashley standing by the door while the two sisters were seemingly at a standoff. "What did you guys do? I thought someone died."

"Alana hid under Este's bed and waited for her to fall asleep so she could grab her ankle," Danielle explained. None of the other girls seemed to have been asleep before hand which meant they were all in on it.

Kaia couldn't help but laugh. It was a funny prank, in all fairness. "Straight out of a horror movie," she repeated what she had said just a moment earlier.

"I swear to god, you guys, you do this every single year!" Taylor said, and though she sounded like she was scolding them, she was fighting off a smile. "Can you keep it down? You scared the shit out of us."

"Well, we would have given you guys a head's up but you weren't in your rooms," Selena said.

Ashley turned toward them, eyes narrowed. "Where were you two?"

The attention on Taylor and Kaia seemed to break up the fight between the two sisters momentarily, all eyes on them.

"Making out," Taylor deadpanned which had everyone laughing. Except for Kaia. But everyone thought Taylor was joking so she had to laugh along.

"Right, totally," Kaia laughed, although her heart was beating really fast once again.

"No, seriously, where were you?" Danielle asked.

"Just outside," Kaia replied dismissively with a small shrug. "I am going to head to bed though. Night, guys! Amazing prank! I salute you!"

Este gasped. "The betrayal!"

Taylor grinned, walking backwards out of the room as well. "If it didn't scare the crap out of me, I'd agree. Hilarious attempt, you guys."

"You're all dead to me!" Este cried out.

As Kaia was walking back to her room though, Taylor caught her hand and pulled her into the master bedroom before anyone could catch them. She closed the door behind them and put her hands on Kaia's waist, but the moment had passed.
