Part 7

Jasmine made it to the top of the mountain, but it took longer than she it would, Lyon had gone but she couldn't see Gray, "Gray!?" she yelled for him, but there was no answer, "no" she whispered as she frantically looked around, "Gray answer me, please" she begged calling out for him, until her eyes landed on him on the ground ahead, and he was beaten pretty badly, "Gray!" she yelled running over to him. She knelt down to him and started to shake him, "Gray get up, please, get up" she said, but she didn't realize a tear escaped her eye, "Gray come on get up" she said shaking him harder, and it worked, he opened his eyes slowly, and she sighed in relief. "Jasmine" he groaned out, "thank god, he beat you up bad huh?" she said helping him sit up, "I told you, to go to the village" he said looking at her, and she could tell he was in a lot of pain, "Natsu and Lucy will probably be there by now, so I came back for you, good thing I did too" she said to him, "you would have been safer there Jasmine" he said trying to get up, but he was struggling, "take it easy, we can go there together now" she said helping him up, "let's go, we can be there soon if we hurry" Jasmine said to him, but Gray needed to get some things off his chest, so he grabbed her hand stopping her, "Jasmine, I'm sorry, I'm sorry for saying you should have stayed gone, the truth is I stopped by your house everyday before I went home, hoping you were there, and it killed me every time to find out you weren't" he said making her eyes go wide, "I was the first person looking for you when we found out you were gone, and I was the last, it still kills me everyday that I wasn't there for you when you were hurting, I could have stopped you from leaving in the first place, but all I did was fight with you" he started to tremble with anger, "Gray" Jasmine whispered, "I know you think I hate you, I never have, I never could, I would do anything for you Jasmine, now that your back things are going to be different, I won't fight with you, I won't let you get hurt again, I will be there for you no matter what, because I-" he was about to say but he collapsed in pain, but before he hit the ground Jasmine caught him, she then put him on her back so she could carry him back to the village, "save your strength, let's get back to the village so we can bandage you up" she said as she took off running, "and for the record, I never hated you either" she said to him, and he couldn't help but give a warm smile before laying his head on her shoulder and passing out. 

Jasmine made it back to the village, but as she walked in she stopped as she saw a huge pile of leaves on front of her, "really, who's dump idea was to use a pit fall trap?" she said making Lucy angry, "it's not dump" she yelled, "Jasmine you made it, is Gray ok?" Natsu asked as Jasmine gently laid him on the ground, "no, he got roughed up pretty bad" she said wiping some dirt off his cheek, "wait, where are the little minions, have they not arrived yet?" Jasmine asked confused, "no, with Natsu and you coming back so late they should have been here by now" Lucy said wondering why they were taking so long. Suddenly they saw something in the sky, they looked up and saw it was the giant rat from before, and Lyon's minions were on top of it, "what's it holding?" Jasmine asked looking at the huge bucket the rat was holding, she could see a green droplet that had fallen from it, and she could smell how deadly it was, and it was heading straight for Lucy, "LUCY MOVE" she screamed, but Natsu was way ahead of her and grabbed Lucy pushing her out the way, the droplet hit the ground and burned a hole in it, "I smelt it too Jasmine" Natsu said looking at it. They looked back up and saw the rat throwing the rest of the acid jelly, it was going to burn the hole village, "how are we going to protect ourselves from that" Lucy panicked, "I want everyone to get in the center of the village, ready to fly Happy!" Natsu yelled running, he jumped in the air and Happy caught him, "come on go!" Jasmine shouted as she grabbed Gray and ran to the center. Everyone watched from the center as Natsu used his fire magic to blow a hole in the acid, causing it to splatter around the village leaving just a patch in the middle untouched. "Oh thank god" Jasmine said out of breath as she fell to the ground holding Gray in her lap, "Jasmine, are you ok?" Lucy asked worried, "yeah, I'm not as strong as I used to be without my magic" Jasmine said looking ashamed. 

Natsu came back and was glad everyone was ok, he then knelt down to Jasmine who was still holding Gray in her lap, and was ready to beg, "please Jasmine, you need to eat fire, your an S-Class wizard, we need you to be strong" he said looking into her eyes, "wait! Jasmine is an S-Class wizard!?" Lucy yelled, and Jasmine looked down in shame, "yes, and she is an amazing one," Natsu said still looking at Jasmine, but before she could say anything they were interrupted by Lyon's minions. "The cold emperor ordered us to destroy the village and its people, we were trying to show mercy by making your deaths quick and painless, but since that didn't work we will have to resort to blood shed" the girl with pink hair said, and Jasmine was seething with rage, she then felt Gray move and he stood up ready to fight, "not a chance" Jasmine said holding him by his shoulders, "Jasmine, let me help, I need to protect you without your magic" he said, but Jasmine punched him in his stomach, "just lie down and rest" she said, he then collapsed in her arms and she gently put him on the ground, "wow, deep down they really do care for each other" Lucy said as Natsu watched them. "Take him somewhere safe with the rest of you" Jasmine said to the villagers as she went over to a lit torch and picked it up, Natsu watched her with a proud smile, "you're right Natsu, if I'm going to protect my family, then I need my magic" Jasmine said eating the fire, she then felt her magic coming back and flowing all around her body.  "Let's do this" she said looking at Natsu with a smile on her face, "all right!" Natsu yelled fist pumping the air. 

"We're not leaving, until every person in this village is dead, now Angelica" the pink haired women said as she was being carried away by her giant rat pet, "we're not gonna let you get away with this" Lucy said as she grabbed onto the foot and was carried away as well, "go make sure she stays alive Happy please" Jasmine said to the blue cat, he nodded and flew after her, "well Natsu, let's do this like old times" Jasmine said, "let's go my fire breathing friend" he said punching his fists together. Jasmine ran forward and headbutted the dog looking man, knocking him out cold, "your turn" Jasmine said looking at eyebrows, she lunged forward and blew fire out of her mouth towards him, but he blocked it using a make shift shield, Natsu tried the same thing and it didn't work, "the pulsing energy coming out of my hand defuses all magic, there's no point in trying" eyebrows said, Natsu lunged forward using his flames to try and punch him, but again is was stopped, "I told you, your magic is useless against me" eyebrows said holding the barrier, "that doesn't mean your off the hook, I'll just have to crush you without it" Natsu said as he slammed his fist through the barrier, his arm then started to disfigure and wave around causing it to hurt Natsu, "Natsu take your arm out" Jasmine said going over putting her arms around him to try and pull him out, but then he stuck his whole head through, giving Jasmine an idea, "you magic is no match for my brute strength" Natsu laughed, "you may have burst through my vortex, but your flames ain't gonna work now that your stuck, so what are you gonna do now" eyebrows said, and it was Jasmine's turn to laugh, "but he can still use them on the outside, and you gave me a brilliant idea" she said as her elbow shot flames out of it and she held onto the back of Natsu's arm, and he got the same idea as his elbow shot flames out too, "FIRE DRAGON FLAME ELBOW" they said together as his fist broke through the barrier hitting eyebrows in the face knocking him out. "I missed this" Jasmine sighed, "now your really back!" Natsu yelled as he picked her up spinning her around, Jasmine was laughing as he did this, he then put her down and sighed, "well, I guess we better get going" Natsu said, "let's go" Jasmine said.
