Part 8

"I cant believe we fell asleep" Jasmine said rubbing her eyes as she walked in the forest with Natsu, "yeah but it was a good nap" Natsu smiled making her giggle, "alright, remember the plan?" Jasmine asked him as she cracked her neck side to side, "let's go" Natsu said as they were now facing the temple. They both ran inside and started to break all the pillars on one side of the temple, one by one, "just a few more" Jasmine yelled breaking more, "oh it feels so good to be back!" Jasmine laughed as Natsu smiled at her as he smashed the last pillar, and just like that the temple leaned on one side, "there we go, now the moon drip won't shine on Deliora" Jasmine said giving Natsu a high five. "Now let's go say hello to this Lyon guy" Natsu said about to leave but Jasmine stopped, "let's give him a proper hello" Jasmine grinned pointing upwards, Natsu instantly smiled and they both shot fire upwards making a hole in the ceiling, revealing Lyon and two of his minions staring down shocked and confused, "it appears we have visitors sir" a man with a mask on said, Natsu then laughed as he hugged Jasmine into his side, "you know we are usually good at destroying stuff by accident, it's pretty hard when your doing it on purpose" he said making Jasmine laugh too. "What are you doing here?" Lyon asked them out of rage, "we're knocking this place over so the moon light can't hit Deliora," Jasmine said smirking at him, which angered him more, "you fools, just who do you think you are, you dare challenge me?" Lyon growled, "are we gonna fight or what?" Natsu yelled up to him as flames erupted from below him making his float, he then held Jasmine tighter and shot himself upwards as his head landed on Lyon's stomach, but Lyon's body began to crack and it shattered into ice pieces, "what?" Jasmine said confused, Natsu then noticed he was behind them on the ground, "ice make eagles!" he shouted as a swarm of eagles appeared from his hand, "you both can't dodge them mid air" he said, the Jasmine blasted fire from her mouth shooting both her and Natsu downwards as he was still holding her.  

"Fire dragon roar!" Jasmine yelled breathing tones of fire towards Lyon, but he dodged them, Natsu shot flames at him none stop but it wasn't working. Natsu went to roar at him but the ground beneath him disappeared and he fell through, "where did he go?" Jasmine asked confused, "you think you can defeat me, just because I defeated your boyfriend" Lyon said to her, "Gray isn't my boyfriend, but I will do what ever it takes to protect him from you and Deliora, he has gone through too much pain for an idiot like you to bring that demon back" Jasmine said getting ready to fight again, Lyon then started to produce mist from his body as the whole room froze and was filled with ice, he then looked towards his minions, "leave me, I can deal with this idiot myself" he said making them leave, "I've worked to dam hard for a brat like you to tarnish it, I will revive Deliora, and your going to die for getting in my way," Lyon said, "tell me first, why are you so desperate to revive that thing" Jasmine asked him, "to surpass my master Ur, once I revive it I will defeat it, the one thing no one else could do, not even her" he said, and Jasmine was shocked, "you want to defeat that thing? Your master sealed it away to protect everyone and you want to bring it back to kill it!" Jasmine yelled, "it's the only way to prove my worth, to prove I'm stronger than Ur, if it wasn't for Gray she would still be alive, there is no other way!" he yelled sending ice her way knocking her into a wall, she fell to the ground in pain, but she wasn't going to give up, "I don't know what happened in the past, but right now your hurting a lot of people, you have to stop what your doing before it's too late" Jasmine said as she stood up, "I don't care what I'm doing, as long as I defeat Deliora I will do whatever it takes" he said sending another spell at her sending her across the room, "even if it means killing you" he said as his hand had mist around it ready to strike her, but was stopped when someone grabbed her and blocked the spell, she looked up and saw Gray was holding her to his chest with an arm extended outwards. "Gray?" Jasmine said looking up at him, he then smiled down at her in response making her blush. 

"Leave him to me Jasmine, it's alright" he said getting up and walking over to Lyon, "this is between me and you Lyon, I won't let you drag her into this, it's time we settle things once and for all," he said to Lyon making him angry, "you seem awfully confident" Lyon said to Gray, "you were right Lyon, I'm the one to blame for our masters death, but your no better, you threatened my comrades, brought harm to the villagers, you tried to kill Jasmine, and now your trying to destroy what Ur gave her life to create, it's time we accept our punishment together," Gray said as he crossed his arms in front of him, making Lyon's eyes widen in shock, "that stance, not the iced shell!" Lyon panicked, "Iced shell?" Jasmine asked getting up, she then remembered Deliora was sealed away with the same spell, she thought back to when Gray said his master sacrificed everything to seal it away, and Lyon said she was dead, Jasmine then put the pieces together, and now it was her turn to panic.  "If you want to live, change the villagers back to their human forms, and then leave this island and never return" Gray warned him as a magic circle appeared under him, "if you agree with that I'll stop, other wise this is the end" Gray said, "is that so, well I don't believe a word of it, your bluffing" Lyon said smirking at him, Gray's spell then got stronger, and he was one more push away from casting it, "GRAY STOP!" Jasmine yelled to him, "all these years I've lied to myself, I didn't want to admit that Ur died because of me, but she did, and it's time I took responsibility, so I will here and now, I'm not afraid to die!" Gray demanded, "GRAY PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS!" Jasmine screamed trying to get closer, but the magic was getting stronger, "STOP THIS NOW!" Lyon yelled, "what's it going to be Lyon, are we going to die, or are we going to live!" Gray yelled back. "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME" Jasmine cried

Natsu, Erza, all my friends in Fairy Tail, the rest is up to you. Jasmine, I don't want to leave you, but my time is up.

"ICED SH-" Gray was about to cast the spell, but Jasmine ran to him and punched his face making him stop, "STOP IT!" she screamed as her fist made contact, "Jasmine!" he shouted at her, "what are you doing! The first thing that came out of my mouth was leave him to me!" he yelled, "that doesn't mean to do something reckless!" Jasmine yelled back, Gray then got up and grabbed the collar of her shirt bringing her closer, "I've got a score to settle do you understand, and I'm ready to die if that's what I gotta do!" he screamed in her face, Jasmine then grabbed the wrist of his hand that was holding her and squeezed tightly, "and how is dying going to settle it, because it sounds like your running away to me" Jasmine growled, and Gray's eyes widened, "I know I'm being a hypocrite saying that, but I wish I went to someone when I was hurting, so yes I ran, but now I realized what it had done to everyone at Fairy Tail, what it did to you, and now I will regret it every single day," Jasmine said as tears fell down her face, "I ALREADY LOST LISANNA, DON'T MAKE ME LOSE YOU TOO" she screamed as more tears fell, "Jasmine" Gray whispered, but before he could say or do anything, the building began to shake, and Jasmine could feel it move. "Jasmine!" Natsu said running in, "the temple is back to normal!" he yelled making her groan. "This is bad, now the moon is going to shine on Deliora" Gray said letting Jasmine go. "Pardon the interruption" the masked man said running in, "I thought I would straighten the temple for you" he said now standing by Lyon, "hey so what did you do to fix it huh?" Natsu yelled at the strange man, but he only looked back and smiled making Natsu even more angry. "I suppose I should go and start the moon drip ceremony" he said running away, "come back here" Natsu yelled running after him. 

"Jasmine go help him" Gray asked her, but she kept her head low and ignored him, Gray then  thought of the only way to get through to her, he grabbed her and wrapped her in a hug making her gasp, "I'm sorry, but I need you to trust me, I will beat him, without using Iced Shell, this is between me and him, and I know if you stay here he will use you to get to me" he said in her ear, he then pulled away and looked into her blue eyes, she then nodded and ran after Natsu. "Tell me something Lyon, when I was gonna freeze us both for good, you were counting on her to stop me weren't you?" Gray asked, "no, the opposite, I was counting on someone to come to my rescue with the moon drip, you would be finished, I never thought she would be foolish enough to go near a spell like that" Lyon said, "don't speak about her like that, she is one of the strongest wizards in Fairy Tail, and I just made her a promise, and I will keep it" Gray growled, "so now your threatening me," Lyon smirked, but there was one thing Gray needed to tell him before they fight each other, "Lyon, Ur is still alive, the Iced Shell doesn't kill it's caster, it uses their body to form the barrier, the ice your trying to melt is Master Ur" Gray explained, Lyon walked closer and placed a hand on his stomach, casting a spell making an ice tiger go right though him, Gray groaned in pain and fell backwards, "I'm not and idiot, I know how it works, it nothing more that a chunk of ice, I assure you she's not alive anymore" Lyon said making Gray fill with rage, "you knew and you still did this!" he yelled getting up and punching him, making Lyon fly into the wall, "I've had enough, I wanted to save you, but this is going to end" Gray said to him, "I have to fight Deliora soon, I'd rather not waste my magic on you" Lyon said, "then we will just use our fists" Gray said making Lyon laugh, Gray ran over to land a punch but Lyon beat him to it and punched his stomach where his wound is, but Gray wasn't backing down, he tried and tried to land a punch but Lyon was stronger, he was then knocked into the wall causing him struggle to get back up, "you know, what we're doing right now, kinds reminds me of someone I used to spar with as a kid" he groaned, Lyon then punched him again, "get up!" a little girl's voice in his head said. 

Jasmine, he thought.
