Part 5

Natsu quickly popped his head up from all the rubble that feel with them, "hey, is everyone ok?" he asked frantically, Lucy got up and pulled Happy out, whilst Gray was on his back and Jasmine landed across his stomach, "could you have landed anywhere else?" he groaned to her, "well maybe if Natsu didn't cave the floor in" she said shooting her head towards Natsu, Jasmine then lifted her front up first with her arms and looked up towards the hole they fell through, "well, I guess we can't go up" Jasmine said finally getting off Gray, "thanks for the soft landing by the way" Jasmine teased to Gray as he got up, "shut up" he growled, "a secret cave, come on let's go exploring this is so cool" Natsu said running off, "would you stop running around like a crazy person" Gray yelled to him as Lucy ran off too with Happy. "Come on let's go" Jasmine said walking passed Gray but he stopped her, "what is it?" she asked him, Gray wanted to tell her while she was alone that he herd her conversation with Lucy, to tell her how he felt too, but he couldn't bring himself to do it right now, "it's nothing, sorry" he said and walked away, leaving Jasmine confused. 

Jasmine ran to the others and saw they were looking at a huge block of ice, as Jasmine walked in further she noticed something frozen within the ice, "what is that thing" Jasmine said as she was now stood next to Gray, "that's impossible" Gray said trembling, "it's Deliora, but how, how could this happen, why the hell is it here, what is it doing on Galuna Island!" Gray yelled clenching his fists, "you've seen this thing before?" Natsu asked, but Gray was getting to angry to talk, and Jasmine hated seeing him this way. Jasmine walked up and stood in front of him, she then gently put a hand on his chest and one on his cheek making him look down into her eyes as she was a lot shorter than him, "woah" Natsu whispered at how gentle she was being with him, "Gray try and calm down, come on take deep breathes" she said looking into his eyes, his breathing slowed and he was beginning to calm down just by looking at her beautiful face, what was she doing to him. "Now, can you tell us about it" she softly said, he then nodded and she let go stepping aside, "it's Deliora, the demon of destruction" Gray said, he then looked back up at the monster, "but why is it here? It doesn't make any sense" Gray said getting angry again, but before Jasmine could calm him down, she herd movement from outside the cave, "someone's coming" she said and they all hid behind some rocks. 

Two men walked in, one with blue hair spiked up and huge eyebrows, and the other looking like a dog, literally, "the voices seem to be coming from here" the man with the eyebrows said, "so Toby, were you exposed to the moon drip, you've got those pointy ears" he said to the dog looking man named Toby, "I told you they're a fashion statement" Toby yelled at him. "Moon drip" Jasmine questioned to herself. They then all herd a third person appear, a women with pink hair, and she was dressed just like the huge rat, "intruders have attack my dear Angelica,  The Cold Emperor will be displeased, yes we must find them before the moon first light, since they've seen Deliora they can't be aloud to live" the pink haired girl said making Jasmine become angry, Jasmine nodded towards Happy to the cave entrance to make noise so it would draw them out. When they herd something coming from outside the cave they ran out, Natsu got up and walked out from behind the rocks followed by the rest, "nice going Happy" Jasmine said petting his head. "We should have just jumped them and beat some answers out of them" Natsu said pouting, "no, we need to know more about this moon drip, and by the sound of it we need to wait for the moon to come out" Jasmine said to Natsu, "Deliora, I still don't understand what anyone would want with it, and how the hell were they able to find it" Gray said and Jasmine saw how worried and hurt he was, "was it hidden somewhere?" Jasmine asked him, "it was sealed away, inside a glacier, it attacked my home town, and countless lives were lost, the women who taught me my magic, my master, Ur, sacrificed everything to seal it away, I don't know if it has anything to do with the curse on this island, but I do know it doesn't belong here, this Cold Emperor, we have to find out who it is, if they tarnish my masters legacy they are gonna regret the day they were born" Gray growled as his fists were giving off an icy mist, Jasmine walked over and without looking at him, she put her hand on his to calm him down, and it worked. 

"It may be enclosed in ice but that thing is still alive" Gray said squeezing her hand, "sweet, give me a go at it I ain't afraid of some stupid demon" Natsu said swig his fist around, "Natsu don't" Jasmine warned him, "come on Jasmine, a little fire will do the trick" Natsu said, Gray instantly punched Natsu away still keeping his other hand in Jasmine's, "what's the deal, what did you hit me for" Natsu yelled holding his face, but he noticed how angry he looked, "I don't want you or your flames anywhere near it, if Deliora is revived there's no way we would be able to stop it" Gray said relaxing as Jasmine pulled him away a bit to stop him going over to Natsu. "Fire can't melt that ice, can it Gray?" Jasmine asked him, and he nodded, "many years ago, my master Ur cast a spell called Iced Shell on this demon, enclosing it in ice that can't be melted" he explained and Jasmine understood. "Even the strongest fire magic couldn't melt it, so why have they brought it here?" Gray questioned, "we need answers, let's go find those guys" Natsu suggested, but Jasmine had a small idea on what was happening, "no, we need to wait here until the moon comes out, if what Gray says is true then this must connect to the moon drip they were talking about, I just hope I'm wrong" Jasmine says and Gray could feel her hand shake in his, "wrong about what Jasmine?" Lucy asked, but Jasmine didn't want to say straight away, "I'll explain later, let's just see what happens when the moon comes out, we're safe from the light in this cave anyway" Jasmine said letting go of Gray's hand and walking over to Natsu, "no way am I staying here for that long it's the middle of the afternoon!" Natsu yelled at her, but Jasmine knew he would say that so she dragged him over to comfy spot and made him lie down, "hey stop it I hate it when you do this!" Natsu said fighting back, but Jasmine held him down, and soon enough he was asleep. "How did she do that?" Lucy asked Gray confused, "she always knows when Natsu will be annoying and restless, so she puts him to sleep so he will be quiet, he only needs to lie down for it to happen" Gray explained, Jasmine then came over, "Lucy stay with him, and if he wakes up just hold him down again" Jasmine said, Lucy nodded and went over. "You better get some rest as well" Jasmine said to Gray, he didn't want to argue with her, not now when she is trying to help, he nodded and sat down somewhere comfy and waited. 

After a while it was getting boring for everyone, and Jasmine wanted to make sure Gray was doing ok, so she went over and sat next to him, "hey, you doing ok?" she asked him, "I'm fine," he said, Jasmine could tell he was lost in thought, and she knew what he was thinking about, "what was she like?" Jasmine asked him, "what?" he asked looking at her, "your master, what was she like?" Jasmine asked again, "she was brave, and amazing, everything you would want or need from a master" he said thinking about his memories with her, "by the looks of this Ice Shell, I can tell" Jasmine said looking up at it, and Gray grunted, "hey" Jasmine said nudging his arm, making him look at her, "I can see how this is affecting you, and believe it or not I don't like seeing you like this, let's not fight while we are here, let's work together and figure this out, one way or another I'm not letting this thing get revived, so let's just focus on finding out why it's here" Jasmine said giving him a warm smile, and Gray felt something warm in his chest, "are you saying we should be friends just while we are here?" he asked, "we're already friends, we always have been, no matter what I say to you" Jasmine said, and Gray felt a little smile on his face, "what's with the change of heart?" Gray asked, wondering if it was anything to do with the conversation she had with Lucy, "would you do the same for me, if I was in this situation?" Jasmine asked and it caught Gray off guard, and he knew exactly how to answer, "of course I would, without a second thought" he said looking away blushing, making Jasmine blush as well, "well there's your answer" she said to him.
