As I walked through the school corridors towards the assembly ground, I sang softly, "Mummy Meri Shadi Karado May June July Mai, Mummy Mera mann Nahi lagta school Ki padhai Mai."
A familiar husky voice interrupted from behind, "apko kuch jyada jaldi nahi hai shadi ki"
I froze, recognizing the voice instantly. Turning around, I saw him standing there with a gentle smile.
"Aap kab aaye?" I asked, trying to deflect his question.
He slipped his hands into his pockets and replied, "Jab aap Gaana gaa rahi Thi tab."
I looked down, resuming my walk, and he fell into step beside me in comfortable silence.
After a moment, he broke it, "Aapne sawal ka Jawab nahi diya."
I sighed, meeting his gaze, "Nahi, jab tak mujhe mera fictional man nahi milta, tab tak no Shadi vaadi."
He looked puzzled, so I continued, "Don't tell me you don't know about fictional men."
"I know about it; my cousin sister and dii both read fictional books," he replied, nodding.
"They're so good, na? They can do anything for their woman-kill or die for her, like in those mafia-type stories where they love their woman like breathing," I said with a dreamy smile. "But I know it's never going to happen in reality."
Before he say something more , we heard ma'am voice from distance.
" I will wait for you at school gate "
He whispered which i nodded at him with smile and went with him at assembly ground.

As the final lecture concluded, I wasted no time in packing my bag.
"Dekho dekho kese utlabi horhi hai jane ko"
(Look, look how eager she is to leave)
Trisha teased, smirking at me.
"Are you really that excited to study? Are you really my sister?"
rithik asked, pretending to check my temperature, which I immediately brushed off.
"What's wrong with you, idiot... Go away," I whined as he ruffled my hair. Before he could say anything else, Abhigyaan chimed in.
" Areee rithik babuu , samjha kar ye khushi padhne ke nahi bhai sa ke sath padhne ki hai ".
He teased, earning a glare from me. Trisha intervened.
"Is chimpanzee ko chodh idhar aa let me fix your hairs "
I nodded, and she adjusted my hair. Then, Abhigyaan handed me a lip gloss from Trisha's kit.
" Ye bhi laga le bhaiya fida hojyenge"
I shot him a glare and, with a tight-lipped smile, retorted.
"Muh band kar nahi toh mai tujhe yaha se Vida kar dugi "

Later, Abhigyaan and I exited the school as Trisha and Rithik left with Di and Darsh Bhai.
My eyes caught his figure; he was on his phone with Kabir Bhai, looking effortlessly handsome, his sleeves rolled up, revealing his veiny hands.
Before I could drift into my dark thoughts, Abhigyaan's voice pulled me back.
"For God's sake, Roohi, stop eyeing my brother; he's looking at you idiot" out of it and noticed him smirking at me. I quickly looked away, feeling a flutter under his captivating gaze.
"Shall we go?" I heard his voice. I looked at him and nodded with a small smile, then glanced at Abhigyaan, who wore a teasing expression.
"One second, I want to talk to Gyan. Come here," I said, dragging Abhigyaan to a corner. He raised an eyebrow at me.
"What happened, witch? Where's your excitement now?" he whispered. I gave him a bombastic side-eye and pinched him.
"Shut up. I'm rethinking my decision. I don't know what's happening to me. Did your brother do black magic? Should we consult a tantrik?" I mumbled, glancing at him as he looked our way with Kabir Bhai.
"Aeee pagal aurat-if you both are done, shall we go? We're getting late."
Before Abhigyaan could respond, his voice interrupted us. We looked at him; his face was emotionless as he walked away.
"Does your brother have mood swings?" I mumbled, watching his retreating figure. Kabir Bhai chuckled and said,
"Yes, he's jealous. Now go before his mood swings get worse."
I raised an eyebrow. Jealous? Him? Why? Does he also-?
"Pagal aurat jaa" Abhigyaan said, pushing me forward. I gave him a middle finger and ran after him.
