Days passed like seconds; it's been a week since that event and the kiss between Maan and me, bringing us closer-just like old times.

He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. The way he cares for me, the way he teases me, the way he indirectly tells me he loves me-it all makes my day.

I know there is no turning back now because he will never let me go or leave my side. But still, there is a slight fear in my heart-how will he react after knowing my past?

Will he judge me? My past has remained a mystery to everyone. For my family's sake, I have stayed quiet because I don't want to ruin their reputation like that.

And now, I am getting engaged to him tomorrow. From then on, I will have to think about both families, which is why I have decided to tell him everything tomorrow.

"It's done,"

I heard the mehndi artist say as she completed the henna on my hands. I looked down to see my hands covered in beautiful mehndi for our engagement.

I thanked her, and she smiled at me just as Baba approached with a warm expression, his eyes twinkling as he admired the intricate designs.

"Isn't it beautiful?" I asked, watching his reaction.

He smiled, first looking at my mehndi, then at me.

"It's just like you," he said, his voice filled with affection. He placed a gentle kiss on my forehead, making me smile as I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Time flies so fast, doesn't it? It feels like just yesterday you were born, and now, tomorrow, you're getting engaged," he whispered, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. My heart ached at the sight.
