Noel woke up in Derek's bedroom, who was sitting on the bed, wearing a gray shirt and dark blue short pants. "Huh? What am I doing in here?" Noel asked. Derek rolled his eyes, and with classic bored tone he spoke, "Someone made you fall asleep, on the street." he replied. Noel got up on his feet. "I didn't know who the guy was, his face was hidden behind the hat." Derek explained, "Underetood." Noel said, then turned to the door to get out of Derek's room, but when he tried to approach he heard a lightning bolt from outside, followed by the light of it, that brightened almost all the room. "I don't recommend you to get out with this weather." Derek said, looking out of the window. It was hailing outside, with bolts of lightning and flashes everywhere. Noel also watched from out of the window. "Perfect, locked here with anyone but you." Noel said, "Hey, I could've left you out in the cold, but instead..." Derek replied with irritated look. Noel looked down, "You're right..." he said. "Well, do you want anything?" Derek asked, Noel looked at him. "No, no, I'm good." he answered. He was sitting on the chair near the desk, where he saw some books on it, up at the right corner of the wall were titled "Magical Arts & Spells", they had different volumes. "Hey, what are those?" Noel asked. Derek looked at the books, "Those are the books where I learn ma-" he stopped himself because he sees Noel taking a book and looking through it. "HEY! DON'T TOUCH THAT!" he shouted before snatching the book out of Noel's hands. "Idiot." he said, Noel gave him a look that seemed a little offended, "Why?" he asked, Derek gave him another irritated glare, "You should first ask me before taking stuff." Derek replied, rolling his eyes. Noel noticed his mistake, "Oh, right, sorry." he told him, looking down. Derek placed the book where it was. "If you want to learn magic you have to wait." Derek said, "They enrolled you in the Wizard Academy, no?" he asked, "Yeah, yeah." Noel replied and smiled. "I can't wait to go there!" he said, "Don't get too confident." Derek told him out of the blue, "Why?" Noel asked. Derek looked Noel in the eyes. "There won't be easy years the ones in the academy." he told him, then walked out of the room, while Noel watched him. Then he looked out of the window, the rain calmed down, making contact with the glass on the window, making it wet. The sky was dark. He didn't know what to do, but Derek's words were hovering around his head. Derek came back, "Eat." he said while walking in, throwing at him a snack. Noel catched it. "Oh, thanks." he thanked him, "You didn't have to, though." he added, "I felt generous, okay? Now eat before I change my mind." Derek told him. Noel started to open the snack, and eat it. "Hm..." he said while eating. Derek was looking out of the window, then sat down on the bed. "So, do you want to stay here for the night?" he asked, Noel threw the container of the snack in the trashcan next to the desk, "I have to, if I don't want to get a cold." he replied. Derek smiled a little, "Fine, but I want you out of here tomorrow." he said, Noel nodded. So Noel ate dinner with Derek's family, and went to sleep on the couch. It was a day full of events, who knows what will happen the next one. Noel got up early, going to the bathroom to wash his face, then approached Derek's room and knocked on the door. "Come in." Derek said from the other side. Noel opened the door (his face was still wet), and the first thing he saw was a towel on his face, "Hey!" Noel said, "You needed that." Derek told him while he was drying his face, he replied with a: "Maybe handing it instead of throwing it directly on my face?", Derek did a small giggle, "Did you like the joke?" he asked, Noel gave him a look that was saying 'Are you serious?', Derek had his usual bored expression afterwards. "When will you get out of here?" he suddenly asked, "DO YOU THINK THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO TREAT SOMEONE?!" Noel replied, then sighed, "I'll go now." he said, "Finally." Derek said. Noel went outside closing the door behind. Then started to wander around Beta. There were the usual activities like always, but he didn't see Mary, or Jazz around. Noel stopped at a shop just to get something. But he heard something, and stopped. There was the sound of leaves getting moved by the wind, the place was silent, and the surroundings started to disappear, replaced by black stains with a dark purple background. Noel started to get agitated, but tried to keep calm, for a second he saw the person of yesterday. Just after Noel flew away "WHOA-" he shouted. He hit a wall and fell on the ground. Everything was back to normal. Noel got up and saw the individual, the hat covering their face. "You again?" Noel asked, while the person was getting closer. Fast footsteps then could be heard, getting closer as well, then a flash of light from an alleyway, the guy looked over where was the light that was vanished, then Derek appeared behind the guy and kicked him, with force fell on the ground. He got up pretty quickly though. "Derek! Watch out!" Noel shouted, Derek's eyes were on the boy. "Go to sleep." the boy said. A familiar feeling of tiredness washed over Noel and Derek. "Not... Again..." Noel said. Derek with what he got managed to summon a sphere of green energy that was thrown toward the guy. It hit him and he got sent back a few meters away from both. Noel and Derek got their energy back afterwards. "What was that?" Noel asked, "A sleeping spell, or pill." Derek replied, "It's capable of making you tired til you collapse." he explained, "Scary." Noel said. The guy got up on his feet. "Another mage, huh?" he said. Derek's muscles started to tense, "Let's see what you can do, student of the WIZARD!" the boy shouted, throwing a bomb of dark energy. Derek dodged it effortlessly. The orb exploded behind both. "Not bad." said the guy. "Noel, return to Main Gate, I'll hold him off." Derek told him, Noel nodded and ran to the train station, took the ticket and hopped on the train, and after a few minutes there it went. Noel looked out of the window. "I hope he's gonna be okay." he thought to himself. Meanwhile Derek was still fighting, or better evade the boy's attacks. "Besides dodging they didn't teach you anything else?!" he asked, "Watch and learn." Derek replied, he clapped his hands, and from that a white orb appeared, that he threw at the individual. Instead of dodging it, he punched the sphere so hard it shattered in pieces. Derek took a step back, dodging another obscured orb. With Noel in the train and Derek fighting, we'll see what happens in the future.
