It was noon, and everyone were at a garden of roses. Mary was sat on a bench, Jazz was leaned on it, Derek and Noel were standing. They were all talking with each other. “Did you hear about the new city they founded?” questioned Derek, while kicking some small rocks, “You mean Os?” Jazz tried to guess, “Exactly.” Derek replied, “Oh! Yes! I know that city!” Mary exclaimed, the three looked at her, curious. “It should be at North of Austin.” she said, “Second biggest city after Omega. Would you like to go?” Derek asked. At the question the others were surprised. “I do.” Noel replied, “I'm in!” Mary added, “I'm also coming.” Jazz chimed in while raising his hand. Derek nodded, changing the topic. “Noel, are you ready to go to the academy?” he questioned. Noel rolled his eyes, “We're at the beginning of June, you should ask wen school is about to begin.” he replied. Derek smiled, “I know, just wanted to see you anxious.” he said, “You're evil!” Mary exclaimed, Derek just laughed, “Come on, let's get back to training.” he said, they went back to train. After a while Derek said something, “Guys, Mage Fight?”. Noel looked at him, “No, thanks.” he replied. Derek scoffed and returned to his training. After some time everyone took a break to rest. They were walking around Main Gate, and at one certain point they could see the very distant mountains of Os. “Look!” Mary. The others looked where her finger was pointing at. “I wish I could stay on those mountains...” Jazz said, “It would be so cool.” Noel added. “Right.” Derek also said. They went back to walk. In a street light there was a poster, it was of a person with a brown cloak and the hood up on their head, so it couldn't be seen clearly, but under the poster was written 'IS COMING'. “Who might this be?” Noel asked, “I don't know.” Jazz replied while shrugging. Mary was looking carefully at the picture and poster quietly. ”Everything okay?” Derek asked to her, she snapped out from her sort of trance. “Oh- yeah, all good.” she replied while smiling. “Nothing, it seemed familiar.” she added. Then an idea popped up in Jazz's mind, ”Are there trains to get to Os?” he questioned. “For now, no. It'll take months to have a station for that.” Derek replied, “We have to walk all the way there.” Mary chimed in, “Eh, it's gonna be a long journey.” Jazz let out a sigh. “Let's try.” Noel said out of the blue, the three looked at him, while he had a determined smile, “We will have a real adventure if you think about it.” he added, “You aren't all wrong.” Jazz said, “Let's do it!” Mary exclaimed happily, Derek nodded. Then everyone went back home. Jazz first took a map of the island, so they know where they are. While the others went to get ready for the journey. They took their backpacks, and put everything; food, water, books, phone charges, cellphones, you name it. It was night, the street lamps were on. And the posters of that person were in every street light. The next day they were all outside, at the entrance of the previous school, now built up. “There's everyone.” Noel said, “So, where should we start?” Mary questioned, “To North, at the Os's Desert.” Jazz answered, “Watch out, it will be hard.” Derek warned, the others nodded, then started to walk  toward North. Slowly making their way out of Main Gate, while walking they saw lot of markets and houses. “I'm a little sorry.” Noel said, “Me too.” Jazz added while darting his eyes around. The four of them were going to the exit of the city, there was in fact a really tall sign, with the text 'Main Gate' written on it. Noel was sad, Main Gate was the city where he grew up after all, and Jazz could relate. They were out, looking at the text, for the last time. “See you next time, Main Gate.” Noel said, before walking away with everyone else. Noel and Jazz left the city where they grew up all this time. They were going toward East this time. One or two hours passed that they were walking, it was twelve o' clock of the late morning. “Are we there?” Mary asked, Jazz was the one leading. “Almost, another hour and we-” he got interrupted by some scary wind that lasted a few seconds. “Uhm- what was that?” Noel questioned, “The consequences of our actions.” Derek replied sarcastically, “Be serious.” Mary said, “We're close, this way.” Jazz told them and started to run forward, the group followed, and after a couple of minutes they stopped. And they saw a desert, that seemed never-ending. “Here we are, Os's Desert.” Jazz said. There was a breeze of wind coming from the desert, like a sandstorm was going on. “It'll be hard.” Noel said, Derek nodded. “Horrible timing.” Mary added. Then they ventured in the desert, and the second they stepped in, the wind just started to get lot more intense, sand debris started to fly at knee height. “That's not good.” Jazz said, “Uhh, now?” Noel asked. “We go forward, we can't stop now.” Derek replied, “I agree.” Mary chimed in. They continued to walk down the desert. After an hour the sand that reached the knees, it was coming at the chest, and the wind was growing stronger and more. At one point everyone covered their eyes, now the debris could go in them. But they kept walking down the dessert. The storm was getting scarier and intense, so much the four were risking of getting flew away by the wind, in fact they crouched to have more weight on the ground, “The wind is too strong!” Jazz said, “I can't hear you! Speak louder!” Derek shouted. It seemed like the storm was so strong the voices were lower than the normal, “I said that the wind is too strong!” Jazz yelled, “We need a magic!” Noel shouted, “Or something to make the wind weaker so it doesn't make us fly away!” he added. Mary started to think, then thought of something. “Derek! Use Reverse Sand Storm!” she shouted, “It should do the opposite effect of the storm!” she added. Derek slowly stood up, the storm still going, he closed his eyes and raised his hands in the air, clapped them once, and raised one up in the air, and when he was about to swing it down the wind made him fall. “Argh! I can't do it!” he shouted while covering his eyes with his arm, “Darn it!” Noel yelled. Derek got slowly back up, raising his hands up and swinging them violently down, doing an X, creating a bubble of air that made the debris of sand change directions instead of going toward them. “A bubble of air, good!” Noel said, “Let's proceed.” Derek told them. The three got up on their feet, and returned to go forward while the sphere of air surrounded them, deflecting the debris. After an hour the storm started to settle down. The bubble of air disappeared. It was all more calm with the storm absent. The four proceeded forward. It was really hot, so they frequently drank water, they brought up a lot of it fortunately. With Mary who could make it fresh it was perfect. They kept going like this for a while. A small lightning bolt spark came out behind Mary, everyone noticed. “Mary, behin-” Noel couldn't finish the sentence, a green portal opened behind Mary, trying to suck her in. “NO!” Jazz shouted, running over to Mary, “GUYS! HELP ME!” Mary screamed desperately, while trying to reach her friends out with her arm, with tears in her eyes, while she was getting dragged by the portal. Jazz tried to grab her hand, but she got sucked in by the portal. “NO!” Jazz yelled, the portal closed right afterwards. The three were there, standing and processing what happened. Jazz fell on his knees, with a preoccupied and scared expression, “No...” he repeated with lower voice. Noel tried to give him some comfort. Meanwhile Derek was like traumatized. “Wh.. where did she go?” he questioned, “I don't know...” Noel replied, “And I don't want to know!” he added, raising his voice a little. It was a critical situation, Mary was gone in who knows where, and they were in an infinite desert, who knows how they'll handle this.
