The very next morning, Carolina woke to a loud slam of a door that had her jumping out of bed. Before she could comprehend what was happening, a pair of hands lifted her into the air and carried her out of her room.

"Finnick!" Carolina screamed. "Let go of me!"

"No can do," Finnick shook his head. He looked down at Carolina with a cheeky smile before looking forward again. "I'm under strict orders from Reef."

As Finnick started carrying Carolina down her stairs, she began to hear noise coming from her living room and kitchen. Carolina jolted up, turned her head toward the source of the noise, and screamed.

"What the hell! Get out of my house!"

"Oh, good," Reef said from the living room. "She's decent."

Standing next to Reef in the living room were Marina, Mags, and Annie. The three women were searching the room, looking through desk drawers and underneath the couches for who knows what. No doubt they were also under the orders of Reef.

Carolina didn't pay any mind to anyone in the living room. She instead immediately focused on Fletch. Her eyes widened and instantly narrowed, shooting daggers into the side of his head. She struggled out of Finnick's arms and sprinted into the kitchen.

"Stop! Stop! Stop!"

Fletch was standing at her kitchen sink with her bar cart rolled right next to him, pouring out every single bottle of alcohol she had stocked. There was a slight smile on his face as if he was enjoying every second of the chaos.

"No! No! No!" Fletch shouted back, laughing as he did so.

The final drops of the last bottle dripped out, and Carolina wanted nothing more than to grab the empty bottle and hit Fletch upside the head with it. But before she could take another step towards him, another pair of hands threw her over their shoulder and dragged her out of her home.

"Calm down," Reef said. "You're the one who didn't show up to training this morning."

"So you decided to break into my house?"

"How else would we have gotten you out of bed?" Fletch asked. He, alongside the other District 4 victors, was following Reef as he carried Carolina to the edge of the pier. "You weren't answering when we knocked on your door, and we weren't going to start without you."

"I don't know," Carolina scoffed sarcastically. "Maybe wait until the sun is actually out? It's 5:30 in the morning!"

"Well, if you're tired," Reef said. "This will surely wake you up."

"What are you— NO!" Without missing a beat, Reef threw Carolina over her shoulder and into the sea. When Carolina came up for air, she spit salt water in the man's direction. "Reef Selby, I'm going to kill you!"

The other victors jumped into the water and started to swim along the coast. Carolina kept her eyes on Reef, and the man had the audacity to smile widely at her.

"If you're going to kill me, then you are going to have to catch me, Seymour," Reef jumped into the water and started swimming towards the other victors. "Swim one mile for your warm-up! When you are finished, meet us at my house!"

Carolina sighed and started to swim behind everyone else. Her pajamas became heavy in the water, making it feel as though she were swimming with five-pound weights attached to each ankle. But if she went back into her house to change into more appropriate clothes, she could easily see Reef getting out of the water to drag her back outside.

Eventually, Carolina caught up with Mags. She was the only victor to not take the training so seriously. The woman was simply taking a leisurely swim while Carolina was struggling not to fall asleep.
