Kyle whispered to his cousin Zora ," This is going to be fun. "
Zora laughed as she handed him a red drinking cup full of cherry red punch. He took it and sniffed, saying," Wow. What you put in it, cuz ?"
Zora flipped her hair back and said perkily," Some of my daddy's rum and gin. I picked the lock to his liquor cabinet with one of Mother's hairpins. "
Kyle suddenly looked worried. " What if he doesn't drink it? "
" Just bat your eyes at him. He'll drink it. Trust me. And I'll be filming it on my phone. This is going to be so fire. "
The cousins high fived and then Kyle in his tight black swim trunks made his way over to Theodore who was standing alone near the pool, looking lost and almost a little scared. Kyle suddenly wanted to back out of the joke when he saw the vulnerability shining from the boy's eyes behind his thick lensed glasses but then he thought of his younger cousin Zora and quickly found his courage. It wasn't like the guy would get hurt , he told himself. Just get a little buzzed and give them all a nice fun show. Yeah. It'd be so fire like Zora said.
" Hey, cutie," he said in a low pitched sexy voice as he stepped beside Theodore who looked at him in surprise.
" Who ? ," Theodore stammered out. His eyes blinked at Kyle and again the other boy felt a sudden feeling of guilt when he looked in his eyes. He was kinda cute, Kyle admitted. In a geeky way. But. It was just a joke. He wouldn't really get hurt. It was all for laughs.
" You ," Kyle laughed as he handed him the punch. " Here. Drink up. You look hot. " He winked at him.
Theodore took it and regarded it oddly. He put it to his lips and took a sip. Then he made a face and said," It's kinda gross. But you're right. I'm a little hot. I wish I could go swimming. I hate not knowing how to swim. "
Kyle smiled at him. " I really can teach you how to swim. It's not so hard. You're from Cali. How do you not know how to swim? "
Shrugging his thin shoulders, Theodore said softly," I don't know. I just never wanted to. "
Then he downed the rest of the drink. It wasn't as bad as he thought, Theodore mused. In fact it was starting to taste good. " Can I have more? ", he asked the boy with the beautiful eyes that actually thought he was cute. There had to be a catch. No boy his age in California had ever thought he was cute.
Kyle smiled. " Sure. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere, sexy. "
As he gave Theodore a saucy pat on the butt which had the boy blushing, Kyle turned to go get more punch with the special ingredient from his cousin who was discreetly filming Theodore whose eyes were already looking a little glazed.
